Chapter Text
Shirakumo is an early bird and he has a morning routine he likes to follow.
He starts his days with a jog followed by a few gym exercises to stay in shape. After a quick shower he heads to the kitchen where Osushi is usually waiting for him impatiently to get his food and morning petting. Oboro is happy to please him, then he prepares breakfast. He doesn’t have a set menu, he just follows his mood everyday. Sometimes it’s rice and fish, on other days it’s eggs and toast, sometimes tamagoyaki and onigiri, and so on. But he always makes sure to prepare coffee for his husband. It’s usually the smell of the freshly prepared beverage that lures the other man out of the bedroom.
Today is no exception. Oboro just finished pouring warm coffee into a mug when he hears footsteps approaching, right before a sleepy Shouta appears in the kitchen.
He really looks like a big cat in the morning, all sleepy and cuddly.
“Good morning Shouta,” Oboro says cheerily.
Shouta answers with an illegible mumble and a lazy cuddle. Oboro enjoys it for a few seconds before pushing the coffee mug into his husband’s hands and bringing two plates of pancakes to their little kitchen table.
Shouta drinks a sip of coffee and makes an appreciative noise. He finally opens his eyes properly and lets out a small smile when he sees the pancakes served in front of him. Oboro got into the habit of always making his pancakes cat-shaped, which never fails to make Shouta happy.
They enjoy their meal while Osushi is rubbing against Shouta’s legs and purring happily. They chat about their plans for the day. Shouta is starting a special quirk training with his student today while Oboro just has an usual hero work day planned, but there is no doubt that both of them will have fun stories to share in the evening.
Once they’re done eating, Shouta does the dishes while Oboro gets dressed up, since Shouta only needs a couple of minutes to get ready.
Shouta always leaves first.
“I’m leaving now,” while giving Oshushi a face rub.
“Have a nice day Shouta!” Oboro says before they exchange their usual morning kiss, which never fails to give Oboro the energy he needs to face the day.
“You too,” Shouta replies, and one second later he’s gone.
Today will be a nice day too.
