Chapter Text
A man walks up a scaffolding with two spears crossed in a x in front of him under his neck, the man in question is Gol D. Roger, smiling, even with many people there, many important, but all eyes are on him. It was the day the King of Pirates was executed but it is also the day the Great Pirate Era started. He was then seated to be executed in front of everyone, but then one man, brave but can also be considered foolish yelled the one thing many people wanted to know,
“WHERE IS YOUR TREASURE?!”
Roger, the one person and his crew who found the One Piece simply laughed,
“My Treasure! YOU CAN HAVE IT ALONG WITH THE ONE PIECE! HAHAH!”
Then the spears came down killing him, and leaving the world in an uproar and many leaving to go and find the one piece and the treasure. But one man, gray haired and in a admiral suit standing at the helm having his arms crossed and seemed to be in his thoughts, until he was brought out of them by another marine, though newer to the field but still held his head high as a way of being proud of what he has become, not knowing the many things the marines had done.
“A-admiral Garp! A ship has been seen ahead!”
“Hmm.. tell them to anchor the ship.”
Yes, Monkey D. Garp is meeting someone. His son specifically, Monkey D. Dragon, a wanted criminal, the man who started the Revolutionary Army going against the views of the marines. Both ships were anchored and much tension was in the air, then,
“Permission to come aboard?”
The admiral broke the tension by asking to come aboard the revolutionaries ship. Causing many to be shocked by his abrupt question. Dragon, seeming to be holding a bundle, is undisturbed.
“Permission granted.”
Jumping onto the ship, causing it to rock, making Dragon frown.
“What do you need, Dragon?”
Sighing, and hesitantly showed what was in the bundle of blankets, a baby, causing Garp to gasp and look questioning why he had a baby with him.
“This is my son, Monkey D. Luffy, and he is also your grandson.”
“.....?”
“Hah?!”
“When did I have a grandson??!!”
“Just one month ago, anyways I need you to do me a favor, dad.”
“What is it?”
“I need you to take care of luffy. I can’t have him with me because it is way too dangerous to have a baby with me when I’m being hunted by the marines and many others. It’s too dangerous for Luffy to be near me.”
“...Fine.”
Looking at Garp, his father, he handed him his only son, his only joy after his lover died giving birth to Luffy, his father seemed to understand the situation and took him carefully and nodded at him. He yelled for his crew to have a board ready for him to cross ships, confusing his crew because he always just jumped ships when done with business. He was serious.
“Bye Dragon.”
“Bye dad, Luffy behave for gramps for me, Luf.”
Garp soon left not on the helm this time but on the main ship, careful not to show what he had. They left for his home Island, Dawn Island. Soon they arrived, he entered the bar where he knew where a certain barlady was.
“Makino.”
“Ah! Garp what brings you here?”
“I need you to take care of my grandson.”
“...Grandson?”
“Yes, can you do it for me?”
“...Yes, I can.”
“Thank you, Makino.”
Handing off his grandson to Makino, telling her what his name is and what his birthday is. He left in order not to look suspicious after he met his son, in which it was probably reported that he left to go visit him.
