The Squad was coming home after solving yet another mystery, this one was trying to lure them out of keeping investigating with lust, it kind of worked with Keith, Gwen and even Esther, but not with Scrags, and he cought on with the scam, that left Esther wondering, was Scrags asexual? Because that's literally the definition, not being attracted to anyone sexually
"Hey Scrags, have you had any...adventures...when we were split?"
"Oh, yeah, plenty! I mean, I'm an FBI guys-"
"Nonono, I mean if there was a girl, or a boy, or whatever that you hooked up with"
That got the attention of the others, they started doing voices and singing and demanding Scrags for answers. Scrags did NOT like it, he was tired of it since middle school 'you must like someone' it was bullshit, he didn't like anyone back then and he still hadn't liked anyone in those twenty years, but anytime people asked they always were disappointed with the answers, old people said 'you must be searching for a wife to accompany you for the rest of you life!' but why??
Scrags sighed with bore and responded "no, and I haven't had a partner either"
"HaHA, virgin" mocked Keith.
"Keith! I'm sorry Scrags...I'm sure that you'll find someone eventually" tried to comfort Gwen
"No, guys, I didn't sigh because of that fact, the problem is that people feel sad about it, I mean, yes, I am a sad man, but not because of that, I'm not lonely." At least not anymore, he thought to himself "I do not want to marry someone, I don't want to have sex, I just want to live my life and I don't understand why people are obsessed with love, and sex, people like it, ok, cool, but there are other things, I just...I-i don't see the appeal"
The van kind of fell silent after that, Scrags started to wonder if he had overreacted or if he'd made anyone uncomfortable, what if they didn't want to be his frien-
"Did you know there's a word for that?" Cut Esther
"What?"
"There's a word for that, well, there are two, and they combine to form a word"
"Oh, I've never heard about that"
This distracted Scrags from his previous thoughts, which he was greatful about, his friends wouldn't leave him for that.
"One word is Aromantic, which is basically when you don't date, because you can't feel romantic attraction,and the other is Asexual, which is when you don't feel sexual attraction, and they combine to make Aro Ace, you even have a flag for each word"
"Oh my god, they're the most beautiful vibrant colour palettes I've seen in my life!" Saig Gwen, well, at least she didn't care, that was good
"I can't see them! What colour are they?" Asked Keith
"The Aro Ace one is like Orange and then white and then blue, which are opposites on the colour wheel so they ALWAYS go good together" explained Gwen
This felt good, they were back to normal, and he discovered something about himself, and he even agreed with Gwen, those colours did go great together and he identified with them, they were his colours now and he was proud.
