“We really need to have a talk, Tech. To get everyone on the same page.” Cody told Tech flat on. “But first, we’ll take you to our base and let you rest. Then, we talk.”

“So, this is our comms room and over there is our small galley for the grub and mostly food storage and that… well.. that, is where we make all the magic happen.”
There was a soft chuckle following the statement.
With Sinker and Boost having given Tech the grand tour, the two sounding oh so very proud of their small base. After all, this was the very effort of the clones of the Wolfpack and Commander Cody having come together only recently then having begun the building their small rebel cell in a manner of speaking.
They weren’t as many as that. Yet. But the numbers were growing in numbers fast, as both Cody and Wolffe having good intel and connections to the clones still serving the Empire. Their moles as it were sending intel to these clones way.
“So, you make your plans in here.” Tech deduced from the comment, as the room looked like a conference room with a rather large size holotable smack middle of it.
“Yup. This is the very place.” Comet having entered the room as well.
“Oh yeah, this is Comet, one of our Pack.” Boost introduced the new arrival, Tech still learning the names of the regs on the base having just arrived there himself.
“Pleasure!” Comet simply offered his hand to Tech. “I heard you are from the infamous Clone Force 99 squad.” He chuckled, clearly some kind of joke it seemed to be among the regs.
Tech raised his eyebrow. Not really having thought of himself or his team as being just that. Not in a long time at least. Not since the war ended.
“Well, guess where the Empire is concerned, then yes. But, we have an ARC in our team and we have been working for Captain Rex for a while now too.” Tech counted.
“Yeah, we heard. Captain Rex being alive! Imagine that!”
Sinker and Boost among the rest of their small clone rebel cell certainly having been elated to hear some of the good ones were still alive and kicking despite the imperial records stating otherwise.
“Yes, and like this cell, they are small but forceful. Kicking back among the best of them.” Tech sounded rather proud as he stated it. Having seen the light in a manner of speaking especially after seeing how dedicated Echo and Rex among other clones joining in after being saved by these particular rebels really were. Tech not really able to blame them for trying anymore or helping out for that matter.
“We really need to contact them and soon too.” Cody and Wolffe having joined them also, having heard part of the conversation going on. “But first things first.” Cody already planning their next op, the man never stopping, behaving so very much like Rex in Tech’s mind. “And Tech, I would really appreciate all your help on this one as you are good with well, tech.” Cody smiled at the genius, the pun there gently implied but knowing only too well how good Tech really was in hacking into basically anything.
“Another rescue boss?” Boost asked the Commander then.
“Indeed. And, it’s a doozy too!”
Wolffe and Cody having gotten wind of a prison transport filled with clones sent to the mines. The sentence basically meaning termination for the lot of them as the conditions in the mines were terrible to say the least.
“Meaning?” Tech wasn’t as familiar with the internal linguistic quirks these clones were using, but catching on quickly enough.
“Well, if the intel is correct and this is where we need your help as well, Tech, but as far was we know, there are some familiar faces on board but also clone cadets and one important target.”
“Meaning not a clone.” Tech already having guessed as much.
“You’re learning fast, Tech.” Cody smirked turning to the others. “Told ya lot he was the bright one.”
The others simply nodding in agreement, only too happy to have someone with Tech’s skills onboard for sure. As fighting was easy, computers were hard. Especially those of the Empire.
“So, you want me to make sure the intel is accurate and not a trap.” Tech having figured out as much.
“Yeah, well, the Empire did fool us once before and we barely managed to escape with our lives. So, yeah, fool us once… and all that.” Wolffe told Tech sounding serious enough.
“I assume you can hack into the imperial files.” Cody already knew the answer to his question, simply double checking.
“Give me a computer and I can, yes.” Tech wasn’t coy about it either. As he really was that good, so why try to hide it.
“Good, okay… so here is the plan…” Cody started.
The holotable coming to life quickly enough. The specs of Cody’s plan visible for them all to see. Even if this some of it was old news to the others around, Tech still had several questions to ask before he would start on his own work.
“Okay then. So now it’s up to you to make the agreed checks before we give the green light.” Wolffe stated after the presentation was over. “You sure you can do it?” Wolffe not as familiar with Tech and his abilities, but he simply wanted to double check as well.
“Of course I can.” Tech wasn’t arrogant by any means and Cody truly trusted him suspecting the others would follow suit. “Give me a few and I have the results for you quickly enough.”
They all looked at each other for a spell as if reading each others thoughts. Then simply nodding and leaving Tech to his work to validate their mission parameters. As so much depended on them having good intel instead of preparing themselves for another disappointment. Or worse, a trap.
