Security Breach: The Epiphany

Summary:

From the moment they were activated, Freddy and his beloved crew had high hopes for the future of their attraction: The Mega Pizza-Plex. They knew to beware what the past may bring up, but to what accusations were critically unknown.

The line between Heaven and Hell becomes blurred as they slowly adapt to the world around them, and still Bonnie is responsible for it all.

At least, that's what he thinks...

Notes:

I'm not going into major detail for Freddy and Chica's greenroom. We've all seen what they look like.

I talked about Bonnie's room, though, bc we only got a general idea of what it looked like.

Chapter Text

Come One, Come All! Fazbear is Here to Party!

Extensive construction begins at the heart of Littleton, Colorado, to make way for a supercilious arcade: Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizza-Plex!

"An abundance of work and activities went into this project," Howard Bentley says to local ABC News. "The animatronics will be featured in a way never seen before! We want to encourage kids and their parents to have fun as a family and meet their favorite characters."

Bentley's CEO, Casey Danvers, issued a statement in response. "This is a pretty big undertaking. Many of the old versions fell because of unfiltered mistakes."

In honor of his friend, Henry Emily, and his family members, Bentley got to work and had new sights for the brand. "Back then, our tech was incredibly limited. It's no wonder they were prone to malfunctions," he added to ABC.

"No matter how big this place gets, there will cameras inside every station and higher observation in the security office." Danvers also concludes. "The animatronics will be equipped to detect and restrain open threats among crowds."

With public eyes already noticing the rise of AI Technology, they're keen using that to their advantage. Safety is a priority!

April 15th, 2035...

A desolate hum echoed throughout the sullen space as a new subject stared curiously.

"There he is – our star of the show. Welcome to the network!”

“Alright, Sharron. Let me ask the questions." A middle-aged man emerged from the scene, lightly grasping a clipboard. “First, state your name and model.”

The recipient tipped his head, ears fluttering. His data came quick to process. “I am Glamrock Freddy Fazbear.”

He spoke with a professed baritone that instantly grabbed someone's attention. Calm and polite, yet coarse and handsome.

“Very good. Where are we located?”

“Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizza-Plex. It is an establishment for children and adults!”

“And being named after you, what is your role here?”

“I am the leader of our band as a vocalist.”

“Yes. From now, you'll be online while we run a few tests to make sure your endo's responding.”

“Oh, alright then.” Freddy replied. “Is there something I must do specifically?”

“Just step out of the protective cylinder and gain your bearings," Sharron piped up. "We'll get a clearer picture when you see the others.”

That's right... He was in charge of a band.

The door glides open and the bear slowly permits himself to peel away from the crimson padding of the chair he rested upon. His joints stirred and swiveled accordingly so far, and he gave a warm smile to the crowd outside, all watching intently. His height, however, signaled that he ducked down before the exit. It wasn't perfectly timed.

“Whoops! Freddy, you dropped your hat.”

“My... hat?” He peered down and collected the small accessory at his feet -- incredibly colorful, he noticed -- examining closely. It was actually kind of adorable. "Ah, I understand! I apologize."

Sharron chuckled. "That's okay. Head on over there while Carlos takes notes." She fondly patted the man's shoulder when he rolled his eyes at her antics.

With a nod, the animatronic turned right and walked towards a more brightly lit panel. Based on his digital map, this area is reserved for repairs, check-ups, and/or upgrades. A safe haven, in his situation. "I have identified that we are located in Parts and Service.”

"Great work." Carlos instantly jotted this down.

Freddy smiles again, a register of foreign movement detected by his chart. Shifting action, he looked behind and faced two brightly adorned animatronics – one a male and the other female.

“Huh. That was a lot faster than my turn!”

Her voice calm and chipper, a chicken presented in a mauve pink leotard layered with a lighter two-piece set emerged from the adjacent corner. A dainty bow clipped the top of her head for three long, white feathers to stretch out. Identical spiked bracelets were below her neon fingerless green gloves, and little pepperoni pizza sliced earrings glistened. She had equally mismatched arm and leg warmers in pink and green, printed with a zebra or leopard pattern.

Her pearlescent chassis shimmered from the lights above them. "It's amazing to finally see you, Freddy! I am Chica Chicken."

Happily he accepted, his paw twice the size of her delicate handshake. “The pleasure is mine.”

The third waited patiently for his introduction as he finally cut across. "Glamrock Bonnie Bunny. Nice to meetcha!"

He was clad in a striking sky blue chassis with a messy tuft of hair perched near his forehead and long, floppy ears flocked in white fur. Dressed in a magenta jumpsuit, a golden star proudly painted on his chest matched the spectacles dangling from his fingertips. Amethyst stripes starting the neckline ended at the knee joint and illuminated whenever he traced darker areas of the maintenance room. He has a fluffy tail shaped like a deer, and midnight blue accents favored Bonnie's gloves, leg warmers, and two pauldrons.

"And I you!"

These animatronics were not just his bandmates; they were his friends! Best friends.

Their corresponding colors and accessories certainly stood for something. He would be more appreciative if only he had a mirror close by... Oh well.

"By chance, are we allowed to explore?" Freddy inquired. "I am seeing other locations on our map."

Carlos raised a brow. “I think your greenrooms would be the best place to start. It's these three right here."

"Absolutely!" Chica exclaimed. "Some parts do have limitations because they're incomplete, but those are okay.”

She aimed at a silver platform behind the repair cylinder with four paneled doors. Each displayed an insignia of the crew using a specific pallet. The final entry, however, greatly pulled Freddy's intrigue. Thick strands of yellow tape were plastered in an "X" over its surface to prevent access, yet he could pick up on a lavender icon barely peeking through. Unable to identify who or what belonged there…

"You guys can introduce Fredster to his room while our computers download the profile," Sharron chirped.

"Aww, I like that! You've got your first nickname."

"I suppose I have," Freddy chuckled nervously.

"Come on, enough stalling!” Bonnie already took the lead. “I wanna show him my quarters, though.”

"Oh sure. You've only obsessed over it for three days now."

“I don't know what you're talking about." The rabbit upturned his muzzle, showing mock prudence from his hurt.

Chica giggled. "How about this? We form a compromise by going to my room first."

"I guess," Bonnie grumbled as they trudged the small stairs.

To Freddy's surprise, these doors were actually hidden elevators. As a tight fit, Bonnie stayed behind to allow him and Chica to go up first. He then followed a few moments later.

A small, sullen hallway connected the path and contained nothing of particular interest. Here, miscellaneous items would be stored as backups to prepare for the unexpected, and Chica's charging station was positioned at the back.

The gateway slides open by their motion alone, and Freddy was greeted with a plethora of neon that aligned Chica's greenroom. Pink was certainly her favorite.

"Ta-da! My humble abode, gentleman."

"I was here just yesterday."

"Shush, you!"

"It looks wonderful, Chica," Freddy marveled.

"Thank you! This part is my favorite." She ushered towards a large mural painted near the far right corner, slightly stretching to the door. Chica was depicted playing a shiny electric guitar, her violet eyes contrast its cerulean frame. "I can't wait to get my hands on that instrument. The kids will be so excited!"

"I have no doubt! Did our staff present them yet?"

"No..." She lowered her head. "The trouble is we have to wait until our final member makes their debut. Which is fine, but I'm too excited!"

"I heard you were in charge of making the crowds swoon," Bonnie smirked, nudging Freddy's shoulder.

“I -- uh, cannot be certain.”

“You guys are silly,” Chica sighed. “Anyways, you're welcome to come and hang out here as often as you like."

"Thank you. The same goes for me! Will I also have an arcade?"

"I think so. If not, it does give a good excuse to barge in and bother you to come join one of ours." Bonnie snickered, crossing his arms and leaning against a wall.

"That's accurate!"

Taking a final glance, the animatronics made their way to visit Bonnie's greenroom. It would make sense, he said, so they could hang out in Freddy's room for the day. Light commotion was detected as the shaft ascended and revealed Parts and Service still hard at work.

"Excuse us," Freddy apologized.

"C'mon, hop to it!" The rabbit picked a humorous fight with the elevator while waiting for Chica. "Taking your sweet time?"

"This chicken is crossing the road her style."

That earned a few laughs from the employees. They waved to Chica when she passed by, innocent to the fact that even this was a test. (Her response recorded the coding and personality chips of her AI.)

Freddy's reaction was Bonnie's exact focus: it was all about the vibes.

Sky blue paint – almost turquoise – covered the walls and deeper shades were factored in his mirror, neon nameplate, and the carpet. An ebony carpet with a confetti pattern, symbols of eighth notes and his profile in the design. Minimal decor like his couch and round coffee table were plum purple and midnight blue covers a neon sign of his signature and vanity mirror.

An assortment of Fazbear balloons clustered on the right, adding a bowling ball and two pins to match. His portrait (on the same side) showed a uniquely shaped black and yellow bass guitar, Bonnie's hair tie having ribbon tails and his enthusiasm ever present.

Faux plants stood beside furniture, and his personal arcade machine appearing recently activated.

“I can see why you were eager to show me."

“There are some empty areas, but I'm happy with it overall.”

“Being ‘happy’ is kind of mild,” Chica teased. “But I understand the hype. Everything feels so cozy once it's put together!"

"Hold on, guys. I'm receiving a call."

"A call?"

"All criticality approved staff members can ping our numbers if they need to update us," Chica clarified quietly. "Don't worry, it isn't there only for emergencies. We just might have missed something."

Freddy nodded absently, eyes examining his bandmate's reaction as he listened.

"Uh-huh... Oh, that's awesome! It will definitely makes things easier... I'll tell them right away." Bonnie removed an index from his temple and turned attention. "Good news! The doors to Rockstar Row aren't out-of-order now. We can access the hallway."

"Thank goodness! All of that up and down can feel a little monotonous, heh."

F: 'This should be interesting...'

Lined with firetruck red, Freddy's room contained a sea-foam green carpet with his profile and strikes of lightning across the fabric. The chair for his desktop appeared softer compared to the others, yet his coffee table was a lot smaller.

Freddy's signature was plastered in gold above the couch plus a custom poster hanging near an arcade machine. His mural conveyed the animatronic pumping a fist and welding a microphone as he beamed. Beside that, a studio lamp and camera was positioned for future photo shoots.

"Woah," Chica whispered. "Hey, your mirror is different. It looks like it came straight out of Hollywood!"

"Oh?" Freddy stepped closer and recognized a horizontal shape instead of the star he noted twice. The yellow bulbs burned his vision momentarily, but he finally captured his reflection.

The bear was a bright honeycomb orange with beige "fur" inside his ears, fingertips and feet, and around his stomach hatch. (He forgot to register that part.) His face had a silhouette of turquoise and blazing red to outline the mask, pauldrons and leg warmers also.

He wore slick white pants with a studded black belt that matched his spiked bracelets. Freddy hummed and stared in a child-like wonder. "This feels refreshing. I can see myself better."

"Yep! I love the lighting bolt on you most. It gives a perfect pop of color!"

"He has an earring just like mine, too." Bonnie let his left ear flop down for emphasis. A little amethyst hoop was attached at the tip like Freddy's ruby red one.

"You two didn't tell me it was going to be a hoop-y day!" Chica pouted. "Well, no worries. I can ask management to craft me an exact pair. Then we're ready to rock!"

"Uh... I think this was made for our designs," Bonnie reasoned, scratching the back of his head. "Chickens don't have a physical ear on their head."

"You say that now, but a girl can never own too much jewelry!"

Freddy placed a paw over his mouth when Bonnie just face-palmed, holding in a laugh.

My design/profile claim for Bonnie looks like @nightcove_thefox8388 's music video on YouTube!

(His eyes & jumpsuit are ruby red, but obviously I changed that in my story. I also remodeled his pauldron to look more like Freddy's instead!)
