Sleeping Beauty

Summary:

Katsuki Bakugou canonically falls asleep early so I turned that into a Kiribaku fic.

Work Text:

"Dude! Kirishima! Come look at this!"

A familiar voice shouted whilst laughing from the common area of the UA dorms. The spiky redhead turned from his spot standing in the kitchen to see Hanta calling for him.

As Eijirou came closer to the sounds of his friend laughing, he saw that a couple of others were there too, experiencing all of the same joy.

Mina was hunched over in a fit of giggles, much quieter than Hanta, but sharing the sentiment. Meanwhile, Denki was sat on one of the couches, loudly chuckling.

"What's so funny, guys?" He asked, genuinely confused.

The pink-haired girl weakly pointed over to an occupied spot on the couch that he hadn't initially noticed. Next to Denki was the typically explosive boy, Katsuki. But what was so funny about that?

Well, he was asleep. It was only around 8pm, and here he was, fast asleep.

"Come on guys, stop laughing. You're gonna wake him up, and then he'll just yell at us."

He loudly whispered, trying to get his point across without shouting over the sounds of his friends and potentially waking the sleeping boy.

"But it's so funny! Of all people to fall asleep so early, Bakugou?!" Denki argued back, wiping a stray tear of laughter from his eye.

"Be quiet, man..!" Eijirou insisted.

"He's not waking up, man! He sleeps like a rock, just as much as Mr. Aizawa does!" Hanta joked, catching his breath.

Eijirou looked closer at his unconscious friend. The boy really did sleep deeply, even as early as 8pm. He understood why everyone was laughing about it. The blonde wasn't the type of person you'd likely expect to have such a sleep schedule, and yet, here he was, comfortably sleeping on the common room's couch. He was sat up, but his head was hanging low.

Kneeling down, he got a look at Katsuki's face. His lips were slightly parted, light snores escaping him. It was unusual to see him so calm when he always had a firm brow and grumpy expression. Endearing, the redhead thought to himself.

"I knew he went to bed early, but I'm kind of surprised he didn't go to his dorm. I never thought he'd just fall asleep out here."

He admitted to his friends

As the group all joked about their sleeping classmate, Eijirou stood up and leaned down, carefully picking up his friend.

"Dude, what are you doing?"

Denki asked, confused as Katsuki was lifted into Eijirou's arms.

"Bringing him to bed. If he sleeps here any longer, he's gonna be complaining about his back hurting all day tomorrow."
He looked down at his friend's face.

He's so... gentle looking like this. Hope he doesn't mind me carrying him.

"Pfft-! He just wants a chance to carry his sleeping beauty!"

Mina teased. Eijirou rolled his eyes and scoffed, trying to hide the fact that he was smiling. He couldn't deny her words, so he wordlessly turned and started heading to Katsuki's dorm room.

Once inside the boy's room, he looked around quietly for a moment before approaching the bed. He was careful as he transferred Katsuki into just one of his arms to give himself the chance to pull the blankets open.

"Here you are, Kats..."
He spoke quietly, as if the boy could hear him. He put him down on the mattress and pulled the blankets closed over him.

He looked at Katsuki for a moment before kneeling down and leaning his arms on the bed next to where the boy was laying, taking in his resting features.

...cute.

Eijirou leaned forward, but hesitated when his face was mere inches away from the other's.

He's so damn cute...

He found himself unable to resist the urge anymore. He closed the gap between Katsuki's cheek and his lips, leaving the most gentle kiss possible on it.

He pulled away with a smile, studying his friend's lack of reaction for a quick minute.

"Goodnight, Katsuki."

He whispered, brushing the spiky bangs out of his sleeping friend's face as he stood up.

Eijirou's own cheeks were flushed pink as he walked out of the room, making his way back to his friends, who had stopped laughing by now. They'd surely tease him if they had found out what he had just done, but he had no intentions of sharing anything.

Why would he?

After all, he was the one who understood and cared for Katsuki Bakugou the most.
