Tristan didn't know what to say. (Oh, how does anybody know anybody? We kissed in a bar a month and a half ago, then found out we work in the same university, then he stole my favourite class and I'm forced to help him with a research paper and he's one of the best kissers and most devilishly attractive men to have walked the planet but he also dresses as if he's from the last century and he won't stop interfering in my professional life but I just can't stop thinking about him.)

Very excited to be bringing you a new Tristan/Richard fic!

I think that Tristan and Carmody's chemistry would work brilliantly in a competitive academic environment. In this story Tristan is a lecturer with a broken heart, Carmody is a PhD researcher with a fear of abandonment - add in a bit of drama and tragedy, and you have yourself a perfect recipe for an angsty slow burn AU! This is set in 1946. As you can tell from the tags, this will be a bit more angsty than previous fics of mine but of course eventual romance at the end. Hope you will enjoy reading this as much as I've enjoyed writing it!
