"Oh, I know another way we could heat up. Hugging!"
Smitty turned to look at Scott, his eyes lighting up at his friend's suggestion."Yeah! When you hug someone, you share your body heat together with the other person," he explained.
"Like this!" Scott extended his arms to Nina, and the latter giggled. She went in as they both pulled each other close in a comfortable embrace.
"You're right, this is warm," Nina said, grinning.
"Maybe if we gather in one big group hug, that should heat us all up!" Rich suggested, looking expectantly to the others.
Smitty nodded. "It's worth a try."
"Get cuddling!" Dave exclaimed, clasping his hands together. But before he could move, the others had already circled in close to him, trapping him in the middle of their embrace.
Smitty wrapped his arm around Rich and leaned closer to him, his other arm extending to Scott who was hugging Nina and Dave. Nina rested her head on Dave as she was pushed onto him slightly by the long-haired Mover. Rich was leaning onto Dave from the other side, his head resting comfortably on his shorter friend's red hat, arms encircling the others. They stayed still, closing their eyes and smiling as they melted into the hug. It was still considerably cold, but at least they were warm enough to hear their own thoughts.
"Um, guys," Dave interrupted the silence, opening his eyes again. "We can't just keep hugging each other."
"Aww, why not?" Scott asked, his tone a hint of disappointment.
"Well, we can't move when we're like this." Dave wriggled, attempting to set himself free.
The others swayed left and right, pulling the group hug in different directions. They stepped from side to side carefully, though it didn't take long for them to lose their balance. Warehouse Mouse watched as the Movers and Nina all tumbled to the floor, landing on top of one another. They slowly sat up, checking to see if whoever near them was okay.
"Dave's right. We still have to find out why the Warehouse is so cold," Rich chimed in.
"Yeah.." Scott stood up, helping Nina get back on her feet.
Once they were standing up again, they started shivering immediately. The coldness spared no time setting in.
"It was a nice hug though," Nina commented, and the Movers voiced their agreements, nodding.
