The soft sunlight from the sunset shined through the curtains of the infirmary. The white tile walls glistened against the soft sunlight. It was a little after 7 PM when Will looked at the clock. It was his last hour of his 12 hour shift. He couldn't wait to go back to cabin 13 and cuddle with his partner. His nertural expression changed to a smile just by the thought of it. The clock was a dark red and right above the infirmary entrance. There was four patients left, one young Anthea girl, two Ares kids, one a few years younger then the other, and an older Aphrodite boy. Will walked over into the supply closet, the tile making his footsteps known to everyone in the infirmary. He looked over the clipboard in his hands, making sure they weren't out or low on anything."Necter, very low we need a new shipment." He said as he wrote down what he was saying to himself "Gauze and bandages, completely out we might need two shipments." BEEP! Will almost jumped out of his skin till he realized it was just the call button. He walked out of the closet and over to main area of the infirmary to see who pressed their button.
It was older Ares kid who pressed their button. "Hey Will could I just get some Advil and be on my way? I swear I'm fine." They asked. Will's slight frown from his nertural expression deepened. "No, you got critically hit during Capture the Flag. I need to make sure you stay stable for a whole day. It's protocol and you know that." Will sighed obviously annoyed of all of older campers trying to get out of the infirmary early even though they're still injured. "Come on Will I'm clearly fine. I can be discharged and you know it." They said it like it was supposed to a actually good comeback. "No, and unless your vitals aren't normal or you're in pain, don't use the call button." Will told them and after making sure that they understood he walked away. He couldn't wait to finish this shift. 'Just one more hour' he thought 'just one more'.
The two younger campers were sitting in the two cots that are pushed together and across from where the two older campers were. They were holding hands and talking happily. The older Aphrodite boy was watching them with a smug smirk on his face. Like he knew more than he should or something Will wasn't sure, hey he's the head medic not a detective. He was about to go back to the supply closet when the infirmary door swung open revealing Kayla. But she wasn't supposed to come for another hour to take over after his shift ended. So why was she here now when he was sure she had an archery contest? "Hey Will emergency Nico needs help!" Kayla yelled in distress. Now in retrospect with what Will knows now that was obviously fake distress. Anyways, Will practically sprinted out the door before Kayla could say anything else. He could've sworn that Kayla winked at the infirmary but again he wasn't one hundred present sure.
He was running full speed across camp. All he was thinking was 'please be okay, please be okay.' After a few minutes of straight running he ended up in front of the Hades cabin. He slammed the door open and immediately walked into Nico cabin. 'Wait' he realized 'Nico is supposed to be at college right now.' "Hey tesoro." Will whipped around to Nico's queen sized bed. It had black sheets, gray pillows, and a giant, black, thick quilt with stuffed animals they had gotten for each other on top. Nico was sitting in middle of the bed wearing black slacks, fluffy white socks and one of their oversized hoddie more specifically the one with a embroided Italian flag on the chest "Aren't you supposed to be at college right now?" Will questions. "Well Kayla Imessaged me and told me that you took a 12 hour shift even after you promised me that you wouldn't take a shift longer than 6 hours" Oh... Right they did say that "I'm sorry but I couldn't ju-" Nico cut Will off "Nope, no buts or ifs about I'm angry at you now." Nico turned their chin up and pouted with their eyes closed. "Nico." No response " Nico don't ignore me! " Still no response "How do I earn your forgiveness Neeks?" Will sighed. Nico peeked open an eye and said "The only possible way for me to forgive you is cuddles" one of Will's eyebrows rose "Cuddles?" He asked hopefully. "Mmhmm." Nico nodded and looked at Will smiling and gesturing for Will to come over. Will barely walked over to the bed before he was pulled into a cuddle trap. Nico pulled Will into his chest and laid their head on top of Will's. Will warped his arms around Nico''s middle and hugged tight. After a little bit of silent cuddling Nico announced "I forgive you now and no you can't leave" A few hours later Kayla peeked into the Hades cabin and saw them cuddling together alseep. If she took a couple of pictures of them well that's not anyones business.
