Chapter Text
- Come in, dear, make yourself at home. You already know the way, don't you?
I hear Mae saying downstairs and I start to have a gay panic, or rather a Lingling panic. I know she's going up the stairs to my room because only Mae and I are in the house and it couldn't be quieter.
I'm standing in my room, pacing back and forth, trying to tidy up the clothes I've left lying around and getting more nervous every time the footsteps get closer. I think I'm going to throw up the butterflies in my stomach, no matter how many times I meet her, even if it's every day, I'll always feel anxious.
I hear two light knocks on the door and stand paralyzed next to the desk chair.
- Come in. - My shaky voice gives away my nervousness.
In my defense, I know I see Ling practically every day, but it's not often that she comes to my house. Especially not in my room.
- Hi... - I bite my lower lip when I see that stunning woman walk through the door and towards me.
- Hi, Ling. - I whisper as she approaches me.
I feel her arms go around my waist and my hands automatically go to her hair, enveloping her in a hug. The smell of her hair intoxicates me. I take a deep breath, inhaling all of her perfume and feeling my heart calm down. It's the power that only she has over me.
- Your mother let me up. - She says when we let go of the embrace, but I'm still in her arms and she's still in mine.
- You can always go up. You know you're like a daughter to Mae... The favorite daughter, I'd say. - I pout to increase my drama and see Ling smile.
- Oh my baby... - Her arms pull me into a hug again and I take the opportunity to squeeze her in my arms since we won't be seeing each other for a few days.
- I thought you wouldn't be able to come here to say goodbye to me. - I take her hand when the hug is over and guide her to the end of the bed, sitting down next to her.
- I couldn't travel without saying goodbye to you, I just had to adjust some work commitments to make a quick stop here.
- Not quickly. - I cross my arms as I speak. - We won't see each other in person for an eternity, we'll just talk on the phone. That's if you remember me and your cell phone, right?! - I know I'm being more than dramatic. Ling is only going away on a business trip for three days and I know she'll talk to me whenever possible, but I can't miss the opportunity to tease her.
- You'd think so, Orm... Let's go. - She tries to get me to uncross my arms, but I stand my ground. - Stop being such a spoiled little girl.
- If I'm spoiled, it's because of you and Mae. - I retort with a grimace.
- Well, I'm happy to take my share of the blame. - I feel her arms go around my waist and she comes closer. - I can't say "no" to someone with a face as beautiful as yours. - She kisses my cheek and I melt with love. I uncross my arms and pull her face so that she can kiss my lips.
She immediately understands and gives me a quiet kiss on the lips as we lie on the bed. God, I wanted to spend the rest of my life just kissing this woman's mouth.
I only interrupted the kiss for a few seconds to get on the bed and climb higher, putting my head on the pillow. I hold Ling's arm, indicating for her to come on top of me and as soon as she lies down, we kiss again, but now with more intensity.
When we're out of breath and our lips are red, I break away from her, taking her lower lip between my teeth. I keep staring at her face, unable to believe how beautiful this woman is.
- I'll keep an eye on you on social media, okay Lingling Kwong?! You know I always know everything, don't you? - I see a little smile start to appear on your lips. She's no good. - I'm serious. I don't want you to pay too much attention to your horny fans. - Now she's laughing out loud and I'm trying to stay serious, but I can't when I hear the most delicious sound in the world.
- I don't have horny fans... They just want to make a good impression.
- Uh-huh, coincidentally they want to make a good impression by wearing provocative clothes and prescription glasses to see you just when I'm not around.
I'm playing with her, I trust Ling with my eyes closed, no matter where she is, but I can't help feeling jealous sometimes.
- I see... - Her hand strokes my hair. - Then I'll try to make it even clearer that my heart already has an owner... - I feel a kiss on the corner of my mouth. - That only one person occupies my thoughts... - She kisses my cheek. - Even the most impure ones... - She whispers in my ear and it's enough to make me feel a twinge in my inner core. Fucking hot woman.
- I'm very interested in those impure thoughts of yours, you know? You could show them to me sometime... - I slide a silly hand down her torso, circling her breast and stopping just below her navel.
But my mischievous smile dies when I hear her say:
- With pleasure... But now I have to go.
- Oh nooo.
- I'm sorry... I wanted to stay longer, but it's late and I have to be at the airport in a few hours.
- I know... - I pull her neck so that she lies on top of me again and I don't intend to let go. Maybe she'll be a few hours late and won't be able to catch her flight, so she'll have to stay in Bangkok... - What time is your flight?
- At 7 in the morning. Which means I have to be at the airport by 4.
- Hm. Will Dew be with you?
- Yes and all my staff.
- Hm. Will you be careful?
- Yes, I will.
- Hm. Will you text me?
- Whenever I can, all the time. I'll carry my cell phone with me at all times.
- Hm. Will you miss me?
- You know I'm going to miss you. And stop saying "hm", you're just being dramatic.
- No, I'm not. You're going to war, amidst the wolves who are dying to attack you and take you from me, I won't rest easy until I have you back.
She laughs deliciously again and I feel my heart clench as my separation anxiety becomes more and more apparent.
- I promise I'll be back as soon as possible, okay? Besides, I'll look forward to seeing you at the Dolce&Gabbana dinner, drawing sighs from everyone present.
- The only sigh I want to elicit is yours... - I say with my lips almost touching hers.
- They're all yours. - She kisses me again and I sink my tongue into her mouth in an attempt to make her lose track of time, but fail. No one is as professional as she is. - Orm... Hold on. - She breaks off the kiss. - As much as I don't want to leave, I have to go now. You understand, don't you?
I snorted in frustration and nod. Do I have any choice but to be understanding?
- Come on, take me to the door, be a good hostess.
She gets off me as she gets out of bed and I feel the cold air on my body. Damn it, I miss her already and she's right here in front of me.
- Wait a minute. - I go to my drawer and take out a pink plush fox and hand it to Ling. - So you'll remember me and always take me with you.
- Awn, how cute. Thank you, Orm. Now, as well as carrying you in my heart and mind, I'm going to carry you in my handbag.
I can't deal with this cute side of her, I'll never get used to it. I kiss her lips and hold her hand as we walk down the stairs. I call for Mae and before we've reached the end of the steps, she appears.
- Ling is leaving. - I pout.
I see Mae smile, finding my childish behavior amusing, as her eyes drift brazenly down to our entwined fingers.
- Sorry again for coming at such a late hour... Unfortunately, it was the only time of the day that I had any free time.
Ling let go of my hand and went to hug my mother. I almost complained when she let me go, but when I saw the two of them interacting, I couldn't help but smile and feel like the luckiest person in the world. The two women I love most in the world love each other. I couldn't ask for anything better.
- You can come whenever you want, dear. Besides, if you didn't come, I was afraid that a girl over there would have a crisis. You're doing the whole family a favor by coming here. - Mae can't miss an opportunity to tease me and I roll my eyes at her in response. - Have a good trip, stay safe, if you need anything don't hesitate to ask me, okay?
- Okay. - Ling's shy reply melts my heart. What a sensational woman. I see them hugging again and suddenly Ling turns to me. - What about you? Aren't you going to give me a hug?
I cross my arms and turn my face away, trying to play hard to get, but as soon as she walks up to me and wraps her arms around my waist, I give up on anything but throwing myself into her arms.
- Enjoy your trip, but come back to me soon, okay? - I say in her ear just so she can hear, since Mae is still here watching us.
- No problem. I'll be back when you least expect it. - I hear her saying it back in my ear and I give her a long kiss on the cheek.
After we part, Ling goes out the door and when my mother closes it, I sit on the stairs, genuinely sad and completely in love.
- Come on, Orm, it's not as if Ling is leaving forever... In a few days she'll be back in your arms and then we can arrange the wedding.
- Ha ha ha. Before marriage, mom, you have to be in a relationship. And we have nothing. - She sits next to me on the stairs.
- You have nothing and your lips are red like that, huh? How much rice do I have to give Ling? I'm willing to give her as much as she needs to take you away for good. - Mae is laughing, but I'm tense.
The best definition of my relationship with Ling right now is situationship. We're not officially dating, but we kiss almost all the time. We don't talk about relationships, but I'm in love with her and she with me. I don't want anyone else and I'm not willing to let someone else take Ling from me. Maybe it's time we changed the status of our relationship.
- Give me a break, Mae. I'm going through a difficult time. My wife is traveling alone to meet a bunch of women, aka fans, who are going to hit on her shamelessly.
- Your wife? - I see her eyebrow arched and realize what I've just said.
I widen my eyes and feel my cheeks turn red. Mae is laughing desperately and I run off to my room like a teenager. That's the effect Ling has on me, she makes me feel like a teenager.
