Work Text:
Nora stares up at the sky, counting the endless expanse of stars. She shifts on her cot, trying to get more comfortable on the thin mattress keeping her from the irradiated dirt. As she does so, she bumps her hand at the edge of the cot into something soft, something familiar. Moving her hand up consciously this time, she feels around until she finds her dog’s head, scritching at the head and behind his ears, tail heard thumping shortly after. A grin finds its way to her face, even after the long day beforehand. Nora keeps scratching Dogmeat’s head, movement calming as she falls asleep.
