Hope you’re doing alright, I really miss you! I bet you’re really busy, what with the new responsibilities your Father gave you.
The circus is amazing, I’m so happy I came here! You should visit sometime, I’m sure you’ll love the acts they put up. SO much danger, just how you like it! The people here are really nice too! They let me read their auras and they love it, especially when I tell them what colour their aura is.
Is Mai writing? I wrote to her sometime ago and the letter I received in response was downright depressing!
She sounds fine though! You better be taking care of yourself, or your skin will get wrinkles. As the princess of the Fire Nation, you need to look beautiful all the time! I have to get ready for my performance, so I’ll end the letter here.
I know you’re busy Azula, but I would love it if you could write something back. I love Mai, but her letters are really depressing.

Hello Ty Lee.
I’m doing fine, thank you for asking. I am busy, though I do have enough time to train. I’m glad you’re enjoying the circus, I know you always talked about joining one, though I wish you hadn’t just run away. A notice would have been nice.
Mai hasn’t been writing, but it’s probably because of her mother. Her letters being dry, however, seems very in character.
Thank you for your concern, Ty Lee, but I’m fine. I have been taking the appropriate rest required, but only so I do not falter when I’m training.
I’ll write one to Mai afterwards, too, but I doubt she’d be very happy.

I hope you are well. Ty Lee tells me your letters have been dry, so I decided to see for myself.
How is everything in Omashu, or soon to be New Ozai? Your father is carrying out his duties well, I’m sure? And how’s your mother? I imagine she must be as overbearing as always.
I do want to ask why you haven’t written to me, yet you did to Ty Lee. You aren’t bored of me already, are you?

Hey Azula.
Ty Lee wrote to me to tell me you wrote to her, and I got your letter. So thanks for making me obligated to write to two people at once.
You seem to be doing well, and you know how Ty Lee is.
It’s so boring here. Being forced to be with my darling Mother isn’t helping either. Father is busy doing who knows what, I can’t be bothered to know. Tom-Tom isn’t too bad, I guess. Though he follows me around way too much. No privacy.
Ty Lee’s letters are the only things keeping me alive right now, or I would have died from boredom. Or maybe stabbed myself with my knives. That would’ve been interesting. Responding to Ty Lee’s letters is quite energy-consuming, though. Lucky me.
Come here sometime. Maybe kill a peasant or two. That would definitely liven things up here. Until next time.

Azula let out a chuckle at Mai’s letter. It really was as depressing as Ty Lee had said. Though the invitation to New Ozai did have her interest piqued. Maybe she should visit, just to check up on things.
(And because she missed them wanted to discuss strategies with them.)

You should really socialise more, you're antisocial enough as it is. Your brother reminds me of mine, annoying and useless. To be fair to yours though, he is a literal infant. I might take you up on that offer to visit. To check up on things, of course, since you didn’t tell me anything useful.

Mai told me you’ll be visiting Omashu! How exciting! Tell me when you go, it’ll be the three of us again! I miss you guys a lot.
You know, I never noticed, but even the circus animals have auras! They’re harder to read of course, but it’s very interesting. Who knew even animals could have them, huh?
I’m glad you’re resting properly, but really you train too much! Let loose a little. Try picking up a hobby! You’d be surprised what it can do for your stress and aura. I’m not sure what you’ll like, though, so you’ll have to explore on your own. But you’ve always been great at figuring things out alone, so I have complete faith in you! Take care!

There’s been some weird outbreak of pentapox here among the peasants. I’ve never heard of it, but my parents seem to believe its existence. If you have any information about this totally real disease, do write. If you don’t, I’ll have a valid excuse to tell them not to worry.
Or maybe I won’t. Their panicking is hilarious.
If you are planning to visit, do it within the week. I think I’ll end up killing someone or myself if you don’t show up to liven things up.
In all seriousness though, this outbreak is a bit suspicious. Very sudden, no previous information. I think it’s staged but there seems to be no motive. Maybe I’m going crazy, who knows?

Hello Mai.
I’ve searched through the royal library, but there’s nothing about pentapox. Your suspicion may be right, but I certainly can’t tell you the motive if you don’t know it yourself.
I’m planning on visiting the day after tomorrow. Father’s been really busy with the usual, but the fuss should die down by tomorrow.
Stay alive, but maybe kill a peasant. It’d be funny, at the very least.
