How to establish oneself as an adventuring party
The Sunrise Road Guild, a guild of power and respect. Able to provide for its members without support from the emperor, the guild is known for its variety of teams. Sunrise Road can seem lucrative for youngsters, but one should always think twice before choosing the road of an adventurer or guild member.
Early one morning, the twins, Jean and Gene woke up by the few rays of sunshine that managed to push through the curtain. Being the resident cobblers of the guild, they had a lot of work to do, and many shoes to make and repair. Who would have known that adventurers can’t take care of their gear? Especially shoes, the number of shoes that break during adventures because people can’t care for them is so high. Both of the Applebottoms had lost count at this point, and they hadn’t even been working at the guild for more than a year.
That morning, as they were eating their breakfast, the guild master flagged them down, “Applebottoms! Come here, I have some important information to give you.” “Guild master Akuma, what do you need?”
“I want you to meet your new party members. This,” Akuma points to a blue dragonborn, “This is Plasudisax, and this,” he points to a human man with white hair, “is Wu Yong, I am sure you will get along splendidly. Once you’ve been acquainted, head over to Natsu for registration. Understood?” Akuma doesn’t wait for a response and leaves the group of four to awkwardly socialize.
“So,” Jean drags out the ‘o’, “my name is Jean, please don’t touch me..” “And my name’s Gene, please touch me!” Gene cuts off his twin, getting a glare from them. The group stands there for a bit, staring at each other, not fully knowing what to do or say. Eventually, Wu breaks the ice, “Should we go get registered with Natsu?” “Yes, that sounds like a good idea, anybody got any party name ideas?” No one answers Jean as they walk towards the main desk.
Natsu is a golem made with a white material that has gold streaks throughout it. Most golems have a master and a few tasks they can complete on their own, Natsu however, has no master and a mind of its own. All thanks to the great work of Master Akuma. As the group approaches the desk, Natsu powers up, “Good morning adventurers, how can I help you today?” “Yes, hello, we would like to register as a new adventure party,” Wu says. “Alright, for the guild to acknowledge you as a party I will need a party name, the name of every adventurer in your party.” Wu turns to the other people he was supposed to adventure with,
“We don’t have a party name, what do we do?” “We have a dragonborn, maybe we could use something like tooth, or teeth,” Jean says. “How about Fang?” Gene asks, “Something Fang, we could use a material or something, so it becomes like The Ruby Fang.” “That’s not a bad idea, how about chromatic?” Wu says, “The Chromatic Fang?” “Yes, that sounds so cool! Imagine us, sometime in the future, The Chromatic Fang, the best gold team around!” Jean exclaims. “Then it’s settled,” Wu turns back to Natsu, “We are the Chromatic Fang, our party members are me, Wu Yong, Plasudisax, Jean and Gene Applebottom.”
“Chromatic Fang, a few pieces of information that you should know. Do not take any missions higher than one level above your grade. You have shown your skill and will therefore start at bronze grade. There is a pay difference between general quests and private quests. I advise you to meet the different masters of the guild. The masters are as follows, smith, enchanter and potions. Walk down those stairs to meet the potions master and our master smith, and walk up those stairs to reach our master enchanter. Other people of worth to meet are our treasurer. Understood?”

The newly dubbed Chromatic Fang decided to follow Natsu’s advice to meet the different masters. First, they walked down the stairs into the cellar where they found an older battle-scarred gentleman. He introduced himself as Yaoshui Ren, the potions master of Sunrise Road. Also within the cellars, they find the blacksmith. The master smith introduces himself as Tetsu Fujihand. “Should you find anything other than wine on your travels, please, bring them to me, I am so tired of wine. Preferably I would like some ale, please,” He tells them.
As Jean, Gene, Wu and Plasu, as he’s been nicknamed by his fellow party members, walk up the stairs towards the wizard's tower, there are a bunch of elvish runes which is often used in the worship of Mirandis, the god of knowledge. These specific runes mean protection and enforcing of magic, perhaps very smart to have in a wizard’s tower. At the top of the tower, they find an old elf with long grey hair. He introduces himself as Mahojiji. “Can we call you magic grandpa?” Jean asks, Mahojiji just nods his head, already deep in the book he was reading when they entered.
“Alrighty folks, shall we look at the questboard now? Or do we want to wait until tomorrow?” Jean asks the party as everyone walks down the stairs.
