Chapter Text
In a world where creatures called monsters exist, split between six islands, live a family of natural commons. They follow the leaders of the island, two monsters: Tawkerr and Parlsona, who are more commonly known across the monster world as the Werdos, and they follow their lead to create the song of the island, also known as the harmony of Plant Island. The family consists of two commons, an Entbrat and a Bowgart. A few years after they got together, they had two children, a son and a daughter. The older of the two was the son, an Epic Ghazt named Synth, who took great pride in his music as he tried to follow his parents footsteps. The younger of the pair was the daughter, a common Ghazt who went by the name of Tekk, who shyly followed along with her parents and brother, taking more time for herself to learn how to play her mother’s cello.
The family lived in harmony for years, singing loud and proud for the island song as it continued to grow as more and more monsters were introduced. Tekk quickly took a liking to Punkleton, while Synth tried to avoid the pumpkin wearing monster. But then one day, just shy of Tekk’s fourth birthday, disaster struck the island. A few of the more hostile monsters from Earth Island staged an attack on Plant Island, leaving most of the monsters defenseless and stuck in the crossfire as they tried to evacuate to Air Island. The Wubboxes stayed behind to defend what was left, but unfortunately for the monsters, they could only do so much. Plant, the island’s resident Epic Wubbox, was the first to fall. His brothers, the rare and common Wubboxes, Bebop and Deej soon followed.
Caught in the commotion, Entbrat and Bowgart were among the first few monsters to fall, sending Synth and Tekk into a panic. In her panic, Tekk was separated from her brother by the raging stampede of evacuating monsters, causing her to fall deeper into hysteria. After failed attempts at looking for her brother, she found a teleportation device and set the coordinates for Air Island, but in the process of teleportation, the device errored and skewed up the destination, sending Tekk to a different planet entirely. It was a frozen wasteland, not a single soul in sight. Not being used to below freezing temperatures, Tekk shook violently as she took in the new landscape. The more she adventured into the unfamiliar terrain, the more violent she realized it was. There were frozen skeletons and what looked to be…robotic corpses? Terror seized the young monster again as she realized how much death and destruction surrounded her. Ducking into a nearby alley, she glanced at the towering spire, thoroughly disgusted at how many corpses made up the structure. Closing her yellow-gold eyes, Tekk fell into a light slumber, nightmares about the attack and the loss of her parents plaguing her dreams. And that, dear readers, is where our story begins.
