"Here." Ayato doesn't look at him, Kaneki just stares at the drink, kinda pounting, kinda angry.
"If you don't take it I'll shove it down your throat."
"..."
Kaneki grab and opens it, taking a sip, feeling the cold liquid slide down his throat, he coughs and puts his hand over his mouth, it feels like pouring vodka over an open wound.
"Oh right" Ayato chuckles with a smirk, "forgot I choked you pretty hard, huh" he sat down next to him, Kaneki still coughing, "asshole."
"Yeah yeah-" Ayato takes a swing himself, only to end up coughing too.
Kaneki grins, "forgot I got you too?"
They both stare at eachother with disgust, then they laugh.
Ayato sigh, "fuck... if I can't beat you-"
"or I you" Kaneki chimes in.
Ayato holds up his can of soda, tilting it towards the other, the Kaneki's can does the same.
"Guess we gotta be good teammates then"
They toast sarcastically.
"I'll drink to that" Kaneki takes another sip, this time it goes down without issue, Ayato manages as well.
They sit in silence, Kaneki gets up first, breaks the can and throw it, lightly, at the other.
"Hey!"
"Clean it up, idiot." Kaneki walked off, kinda fast, not from fear ofc, but it looks cooler.
