Firstly, I wanna thank the BBB24 mods for being so darling and patient with us all, seriously y'all.

Thank you, Chelsea (katebushwutheringheightsmp3) for taking me on this journey with you, I’ve enjoyed having a behind the scenes look into your process so much, I know how much effort and thought you’ve put into this story, hopefully this little poster makes it justice!

I’ll be honest, this one was a challenge...

I’m experimenting with a few things here, for one texture, I feel like the subject calls for it. And for me, texture is one of the easiest ways to make something feel ‘real’. I wanted them to feel tangible and raw in a way, like open fields and the desert wind.

The colours were another thing, I wanted a vivid and bright palette, but also something warm and soft. The story and Chelsea’s words are filled with these beautiful passages, so I wanted the palette to directly reflect that.

I put a mix of inspirations to the blender in terms of technique, like I said I wanted texture, so I inclined for an almost but not quite Leyendecker hatching, but I also wanted to invoke the old Marlboro ads and 50s film posters with the rendering and the composition. The scene is not taken from the text, but something that I could see happening. I wanted that kind of passionate longing from those 50s film posters.
