You enter the House of Change for the first time.
The atmosphere is crushing, but you’re hopeful. Your group of allies is going to save Vaugaurde. You walk through the hall, Siffrin leading the way as usual.
You come across a Sadness. This is nothing special, you can do this. Someone starts to speak, but Siffrin… attacks. Without even finishing your sentence, you watch. Their dagger slashes the Sadness. This isn’t like them, to attack without some catchy one-liner. Once, twice, three times. The last time you’ve seen him this careless with his weapon was the day he lost his eye.
The Sadness is dead. Siffrin looks back at you. On their face is a darkness you’ve never seen. Even back then, behind their anger was fear. Now, it’s pure. Something’s wrong. He realizes what he looks like, and smiles, but it’s forced. You don’t know what he sees on your face, but you’re scared. For him? Of him? You can’t tell.
