Chapter Text
Everything hurted, god damn, everything hurted.
Dexter leaned against the wall and tried to control his breathing. The moon had barely appeared in the sky, why the hell had it started so soon?
His whole body was trembling, there was no time to ask himself useless questions, he had to go down to the basement. Now.
Dexter walked towards the basement door, with every step he could feel his body tense, he knew that at some point something would snap inside him.
The basement wasn't far, he just had to hold on a little longer and-
A sharp pain shot through his back.
The sudden pain made him fall to the ground. Dexter felt the bones in his back move and shift in an unnatural way, he tried to stand up but his new spine forced him to remain on all fours.
With no other option, Dexter crawled on the ground while the rest of his body continued to transform. His bones continued to lengthen and a layer of hair began to cover his body. The clothes he was wearing began to suffocate him to the point that he had to tear them off with the claws that grew from his nails. Dexter tried to move forward, but fell defeated to the ground, writhing in pain.
Between the disgusting creaks and clicks that his body made, Dexter could hear footsteps approaching.
“Do you need help, Dex?”
Dexter looked up to see Bob, who was looking at him smiling.
“Bob…” Dexter tried to say. “The basement… You have to…” That last sentence ended with a growl. Bob simply laughed at his request.
“That would be very cruel, every month you lock yourself down there. Don’t you want to go out for a bit?”
“No… I can't…” Dexter could barely speak.
“Oh, come on, Dexter.” Bob smiled, proudly showing his fangs.
Dexter didn't answer, he couldn't. What human rationality he had left was leaving his head, being replaced by something wilder and more primitive.
"Let's have some fun."
