“Sensei, duck!”
Shota didn’t duck.
But in his defense, neither did his problem child.
“Izuku, why are you standing so close to me? We’re just going to Recovery Girl’s office, so we can figure out what that villain we arrested hit us with.”
Izuku nodded, walking slightly closer to Shota, “I . . . Trust Recovery Girl. But I feel safer near you.”
Shota hesitated before smiling, bringing a hand to Izuku’s head to comb his fingers through the boy’s curly green hair. Still tangled in his hair, Shota said, “I get it. You’re nervous. I’m here for you.”
Izuku smiled, laughing just slightly, “Thanks, Sensei. You’ve . . . always been calming, but it’s even moreso now.” Then, the door for Recovery Girl’s room swings open just as they approach.
“Well, aren’t you both cuddly?”
They didn’t pull away.
“ . . . Don't tell me." She mumbled, tired.
Shota flushed when she said the words, “Parental Bond Quirk.”
