One particular summer night, the three women who made up the House of Danvers-In-Ze (actually the Two-bedroom Apartment of same...they were looking to close on the house at the time) were watching the various commercials and promos whiz by on their FireTV when next up was a promo for something called “Bizarre Foods” hosted by a guy who looked he had avoided Planet Fitness about as well as Alex Danver’s adopted sister avoids glowing green rocks.
In that promo, the host was consuming things that no same person would even put into their bodies, while saying the tagline, “If it looks good...eat it.”
It was at that point where Alex's wife, Astra, gave her Earthly spouse a mischievous smirk... Which seem to be an invitation to...well, activities other than binge watching “Fleabag.”
Their too-smart-and-observant-for-her-16-years Goth daughter, CJ, was observing what was going on from her perch on the family Barcalounger. The girl simply rolled her eyes, got up, grabbed her phone and pad, and marched to her bedroom, audibly grumbling something about “you two are disgusting..” before giving the door to bedroom a definitive close.
The two moms looked at each other and giggled. And...well, Astra did look good. And Alex....well, thinking about that promo tagline...she was the obedient type..with proper motivation...
