Chapter Text
You wouldn't say that you had the worst fate in universe, no. You were a normal teenager, having friends, being acknowledged as a popular kid in your high school, you did a lot of teenage dirtbag things and you definitely weren't bullied. So why did everything feels so empty for you? It's not like you didn't try to fill up the hole, you hung out a lot after school, you dated a few guys, you even got involved in petty dramas with seniors. Everything still feels empty, like an adrenaline rush is missing.
You were someone who couldn't contain your thoughts and you hated being alone, but you're always alone at the comfort of your own home, until your parents got back from work, at-least. You learned to live pretty independently, you knew how to drive, how to cook and your parents was chill by any means, they allow you to smoke as long as it's not marijuana, they allow you to go clubbing as long as the club don't reject you, they allow you to drink as long as you're not drunk.
You were everything any teenager wanted to be, so why was your heart so empty? Sitting alone at the comfort of your bed, you yanked open your laptop, scrolling through Netflix for anything to watch— you've been interested at Marvel, DC and now you're interested in My Hero Academia, you're on season five. "Holy shit season six has finally been finished animated." You said, clearly interested to finishing season five. You started the episode, watching it as usual when you suddenly started to feel sleepy and your head felt heavy. Fuck, was the drinking and smoking cutting up to you? You didn't think or dwell too much, you just started to close your eyes.
The first thing you knew when you opened your eyes was, you weren't sitting in your plain boring bedroom. The room you were now in was much better than yours ever was, the decorations are cute but your mangas was out of question. You opened up your phone and saw the date was not 2024. It was late 21st century, as you come to that realization you felt something spiked up.
[Hello. You must be name, right? I'm sorry, you're probably confused of all this. You've just died and we could sense your empty heart, so we decided to bring you to a parallel world where you could chase after the adrenaline!]
What the hell? You were actually hearing voices. What parallel world am I in, right now? You scrambled around your room, looking at yourself in the mirror. You were still you, your room looked so cute and you can see that plants was definitely your thing.
[Well, it's in my hero academia! We didn't know what parallel world would you like so we just put you in the last thing you were watching when you fell asleep. You can live here and interact with the characters as in this world they are real. Also, you could romance the characters! Just like all transmigrators want.]
Oh, fuck yeah you could definitely get the hang of this. But, how far in the timeline am I in? Whats my quirk? Where do I live and just what is my identity in this world? You scowled, letting the facts sink in that you don't know anything about yourself right now.
[About that, you're currently fifteen and right now it's around three months before the U.A admissions start. You live right in Musutafu, Japan. It's quite close to U.A and I made sure that you're rich here so you can do whatever you desire. Your parents are like back in your world, busy and chill, for the most part. We're not creative so your quirk is basically somewhat like starfire, you get the gist.]
Okay, same everything just now you woke up completely in a different universe. Deep breaths, let's not panic, name. You swallowed a drink to calm yourself down from the thoughts of your actual body in the real world, your real parents and your friends. Does anything matters now that you're dead? But then, you came to the realization—
Holy fuck I'm literally so powerful if I got starfire's power! What's the drawback?
[You can't shoot out lasers from your eyes, only your hands. But you can still create explosions and fly. Also, nothing alien stuff like alien physiology or language assimilation. You still need to get the daily UV to store up power. Lastly, you gotta romance most of the characters in this show. The last one is a must, it's payment for giving you this chance.]
Excuse me, what do you mean by ROMANCE MOST OF THE CHARACTERS? I can't just pick one?
[No, no you can't. Don't worry they're all your age, some are only platonic too! But right now just focus in getting to U.A. And you'll be getting daily missions starting from tomorrow, so get yourself familiar with your surroundings and the system controls, alright?]
You simply left it at that, you're not interested in spending the whole day with a stupid system so you just decided to take a look on your phone and play around with the contacts. You could see that you're pretty much popular here too, you have a close-friend that also wants to get into U.A. You decided to ask her to meet up tomorrow, tomorrow is Saturday anyways so you might as well take it easy on yourself.
You're pretty grateful that you have chill parents here too, you look around the house and see the wine cabinet. Just like your own parents, your parents here got wine! Just what you needed after dealing with the reality that you are dead. You went back to your room just to grab your diary, an empty book and a pen. You needed to know who you were to fill your role, so you jolted down important things about yourself in your new empty book. Can't forget to grab the wine, your head was starting to hurt thinking about the fact that you're no longer on your universe. You knew a lot of things about who you were now, such as where you went to middle school, your reasons to entering U.A., what your friends are like, your hobbies in this world.
You're pretty much set, you could do whatever you like today. You're a teenager with money, what can't you do? You started to clean up the glass and putting the wine back, you needed to go out for a walk to look around the surroundings, maybe meet a couple people. That could work, you mused.
You take a look at yourself, smiling at how pretty you were. "Even in a parallel universe, I still look good. I should've been an actor in my old life, I knew it!" You said to yourself, you were happy that you have confidence in how you looked, it was a hard journey to find self love and self confidence, after all.
Walking around Musutafu wasn't bad, sure you missed your home and the life you had before, but this once in a death-time opportunity wasn't going to stumble again so you have to use it all. There was no use in grieving for yourself.
[There's a target around you. 500m to your left! He's the one with green hair, get to know him, quick!]
Ah, that stupid system was telling you to do things. It wouldn't be so bad though, you knew exactly what the system meant. You're standing here, five hundred meters from the character you knew. Izuku Midoriya. You wonder on how to greet him, he's a total stranger right now, you absolutely don't know him, your schools are different too so you wonder on how to say hi.
[BE FAST! This chance might be your last before getting to U.A. You wouldn't want to wait three months just because you're too shy, do you?]
Fuck that comment, you were making your way to him. Your hand reached out to his, "Hi!" you said, clearly you have no concept of social anxiety.
"H-hi!" He uttered.
Man, this kid is really shy. "I'm name! I live around here, do you live around too?" You asked him, thoughts of topic conversations circulating in your head.
"Ah— yeah I do! I'm a middle schooler." He told you, expectant of you to say something.
"Me too! Wanna be friends? Give me your number." You asked of him, you definitely disregarded the concept of social anxiety after waking up from death. He nods and gives you his number, before asking you who your favorite hero was.
"I actually really like the new rookie, Mt. Lady, she's like really cool." You told him, you knew that if you said you liked All Might or big heroes he would've been blabbering you things and asking you if you've seen their fight against this or do you know they did that, so you chose the safest option by picking the newest hero.
"She really is cool, I saw her fighting on her debut day! She was real flashy, she seems fun too!" He told you, you nod as he kept talking about heroes that links to Mt. Lady.
"But, what's your favorite hero?" You asked him, he immediately perked up and answered you.
"All Might."
