I was out doing an exploration of the woods to prepare for my biology class. I am looking for reptiles like tortoises and snakes to document. I had just gotten to the side of the mountainy wooded area and for once I didn't see many trees around. I knew there was a lot of movement on this mountain and that it wasn’t the safest place to be, so I started to head back the way I came but for some reason I didn't know where to go.
It had gotten stormy so I decided to go home...but I heard a slither from the grass on the other side of me, but it was too dark to see what was there. But as it started to rain and thunder I knew I had to get home… but before i could i was hit by something hard… I was unsure if it was a rock or a branch or anything else similar to it…but as soon as I felt it hit me into the ground, everything went black… I heard something hissing…
[sun POV]
I saw my brother slither into the cave holding a bloodied human…the human seemed to have many many broken bones… I had only seen a human on a few occasions and their body never looked like that… I spoke in our native tongue.
“Lune, what are you doing with that human?” I hissed softly. I knew my brother hated humans…so why help one..?
“They reminded me of you…” Moon spoke softly while holding the shattered human in his arms… the human was quite pale and had wheezing breaths. “They spoke like you, talking to themself like you do when you gather berries…” I knew what Moon was talking about… but I also knew he’d never wanted to see a human ever again… maybe he had a change of heart?
“So uh- you take them, i don’t know what to do and you’ve always been better at all the bandaging and stuff” Moon mumbled as he set the shattered human on the ground.
The human looked dead… no signs of life came from them, but Sun knew he could help the human if he really tried. So he picked up the human and held them gently before carrying them to the deeper part of the den and setting them down on the blankets he and Moon use when nesting. (Nagas will nest when in heat due to having the natural parental urge to get ready for eggs even if they aren’t going to mate). Sun then gently inspected the many wounds the human had, noticing the mass amounts of broken bones, a few puncturing the skin. Sun is horrified and immediately goes and gets some water from a nearby hot spring and starts to clean the humans wounds and gently reposition the shattered limbs back into the position he thinks it’s supposed to be in. he then uses some sticks and cloth he has from abandoned camping sights to make makeshift casts on all the humans limbs. Sun then decided he needed to keep the human warm so he gently laid on top of the human to give them warmth… Sun sees the human as a child of sorts cause they’re so small and frail. Sun lays on the human for hours, not wanting to move or any because he has the instincts making him feel as if this is a child.
