Chapter Text
Sorbet was sitting at the campfire that night with the rest of their cabin mates, singing campfire songs and eating marshmallows. “Hey, Sorbet?” Sorbet turned to face the camper, “Yes Sara?” They asked, “Your hairs brown, and your frogs gone” Sara replied. Sorbet touched their head and she was right their hood was gone. “Oh, I must’ve left it at the cabins, will you excuse me for a moment.” They said as they got up confused and left the campfire.
They walked through the center of the cabins looking around until they spotted that the Demeter Cabins door was open so they walked towards the door and walked inside.
Sorbet looked around the cabin until they saw someone with a green hood in one hand and a makeshift black knife in the other. When their eyes adjusted to the light they realize that green hood was their frog hood and the person holding the black knife…“Rose?” Sorbet said shakily “What are you doing with my hood?” Rose looked over, her eyes shined sky blue through the darkness. “I..I have to..” She looked back down at the hood, she shakingly lifted it up and stabbed the knife through it and sliced it in half. Sorbet stood there in shock. Tears gathered at the corners of their eyes, the only gift from their mother, the thing that kept them alive was gone. It was gone. The hood can no longer protect them, the person who they thought were their friend did this. “Why..why would you do this?” Sorbet asked confused “I thought you were my friend, but now you’re just an enemy who needs to be destroyed.” They said harshly. Their bracelet then flashed, a bronzed sword left in its place. “I- I didn’t mean- orders from- I..I’m sorry” Rose stammered reaching for her hat as Sorbet walked closer. “‘Sorry’ doesn’t cut it, you still made the decision to destroy it anyways!” Sorbet snapped.
Rose then turned her hat into a Roman gladius and swiftly moved out of the way when Sorbet swung down to where she was sitting. They swung again, Rose blocked it and rolled to a stand. Rose sidestepped when Sorbet swung, their swings were sloppy their eyesight was blurry with tears. “Sorbet!” Rose said as they swung getting out of the way. “Please! Just calm down,“ Sorbet stopped and looked at Rose in the eyes tears streaming down their face. “Calm down?” They started to laugh “CALM DOWN??” They yelled kicking Rose to the ground, her sword crashing to the floor. “You want me to calm down after you destroyed the only thing my mother ever gave to me?“ Sorbets tears fell to the floor, “I should just kill you right now, that’s what backstabbers like you deserve.” Rose picked up her sword. “I’ll cut you in half, how would you like it, huh? When I cut you in half like you did my hood I-“ they paused, Rose wasn’t there anymore. “Where did you go y-“ they screamed. A pain shot up their left arm, they looked over to see Rose’s sword covered in blood, their blood, then looked down at their arm. Blood dripping down it as they looked back up at the daughter of Persephone.
They were furious, they dropped their sword and ran at Rose, she tried to dodge but kicked her into a shelf, pots and other items crash into the floor. Sorbet grabbed Rose’s shirt and pulled her up, looked her dead into those piercing blue eyes and said. “I’ll leave you off with a warning, If you ever show your face here again, I.will.kill.you” They growled that last part, Sorbet then dropped Rose to the ground as she dissolved into shadows. Sorbet ran to their hood and cradled it in their arms sobbing. Their arm was bleeding, they were tired but they didn’t care. All that existed was them and their frog hood, then they wiped their tears, stood up and walked out the Demeter cabin.
As they were walking back to the campfire they decided to stop at the lake to calm down, to get their mind off of what just happened. Her friend took their frog hood somehow and cut it in half then in their rage attacked and threatened their ex-friend, they didn’t want to actually kill her just threaten her so she’ll be scared to do that again so when she cut their arm? They let her off with a warning…As they stood by the lake embraced with their thoughts a bright light caught their eyes and crash! Somethings crashed into the water, Sorbet jumped back as the thing that crash floated up to the surface. A girl with amber hair braided down her back with a single gray streak in it, with olive skin with freckles across her nose. She was wearing a Greek style dress and sandals. Sorbet started to freak out, they didn’t know what was happening but they had to help her. So she threw her frog hood to the ground and jumped into the lake.
