Kent was blackmailed and gaslighted by the owner Seth Knight, ruining his life and causing him mental anguish. Seth learned to rue the day he dared to try controlling his former rival's son when the livid Jaden Cyboanes found out.
Jaden managed to ruin his old enemy thoroughly with a massive lawsuit. The Las Vegas Aces team was forced to disband when Seth lost the lawsuit. Many of them became free agents. Some of them ended up on the East coast with either the New York Rangers and Providence Falconers. Jack and Tater were astonished when they received new teammates in the form of Scraps and Kent.
Eventually, they find out the truth, and work on mending broken bonds. And this brings us to the present.

Alexei and Kent had some alone time. The couple stayed in for the night. They had an extremely long week, and they just wanted some quiet moments. They ate some biscuits and tea Alexei's parents sent over.

That evening, Jack, Bitty, Alexei, Kent, Shitty, Lardo, Holster, Ransom, and Jaden got together at a diner. They ordered burgers, fries, and milkshakes as they caught up.
"Where did you go during your trip off the grid?" Holster asked.
"Well, I was recovering at home." Kent admitted.
"In Quebec?" Jack asked in surprise.
"Yeah, my dad wouldn't let me out of his sight for months." Kent had to admit.
"No wonder, he nearly lost you." Jack replied.
"Some explanations, please?" Shitty asked.
"It started 2 years ago, wait, everything really started seven years ago. But the breaking point for me happened two years ago..." Kent sighed as memories flooded his mind. He could still remember it like it had happened yesterday. Instead of it being two years ago...
