It’s Friday night, it has been a really, really long day. The Mid Wilshire crew all decided to go to Los Torres to have a few drinks and unwind after the long day they had. It was one of the rare nights, Luna met them at the bar. They all got a few tables and pushed them together.
Lucy noticed there was another group of people who had pushed some tables together, she asks Tim, “do you recognize them?”,
Tim looked at them, “I think they were at the scene today”, he noticed, it clicked in his head a few seconds later that the other group were the firefighters who were at the robbery, that turned into an arson case today.
“Hey, Sara, this table’s next round is on me”, Tim yelled over to the bartender pointing at the firefighter table.
Lucy looked at him with a curious look then he shrugged and said, “they made sure we all got out safely, they deserve it”. Lucy just smiled at him, this man is truly so soft and she loves him all the more for it.
The bartender then brings over shots, for both sets of tables. Everyone looks around and decided why the hell not.
Grey, and Luna got up from where they were sitting and walked over toward the firefighter table and said, “as I live and breathe Athena Grant, why are you with the fire fighters, you’re blue”, he said to his old friend from his rookie days.
Athena got up and hugged the man, “Oh, Wade it is so good to see you, I am over here because my husband”, Athena gestured towards Bobby, “is the Captain at house 118”.
“Bobby Nash”, Bobby said standing up to shake the mans hand. “Wade Grey”.
Athena then hugged Luna, “oh Luna, it is so great to see you, it’s been too long, how is this one treating you?”, she said with a slight grin towards Grey.
Luna laughed, “oh you know same old same old, though I swear I will never be able to get this man to retire”.
“oh, don’t I know where he is coming from though”, Athena said.
Wade pulled up chairs for himself and his wife then sat down.
“so how long have you guys known each other?”, Bobby asked.
“oh, Wade and I were partners for a while when were just coming up, Luna his lovely wife here was one of my few female friends I had back then”. Athena said with a smile.
“so you’re captain of your fire house?”, Wade asked Bobby.
Bobby chuckled, “yeah sometimes it feels like I am the parent to a bunch of teenagers with how crazy those ones get, but I wouldn’t trade them for the world”.
Wade let out a chuckle of his own, “as watch commander of mid Wilshire I feel the same way with the cops under my watch”.

At the other end of the groups of tables Eddie and Buck walked up to Tim and Lucy, “thanks for the shots man”, Eddie said to Tim.
“not a problem, thank you for make sure all my cops got out of the building safely”, Tim said with a nod.
Buck and Eddie just both chuckled, “well you made sure the bad guys were caught and didn’t hurt any of our guys”, Buck said.
The four then started talking about the crazy different things they saw at the scene.

Towards the middle of the grouped tables you have Hen, Lopez and Harper. The three women are bonding having hard jobs and being married moms, and how hard it is to balance all of it.
“yeah and I was doing medical school, and was acting captain at one point”, Hen said.
Harper and Lopez both just shook their heads, “are you kidding I thought it was going to be hard enough just having two under 4 now, and my husband is in the DA’s office so he is also always working really long hours”, Lopez said as then took a drink of her margarita.
“yeah, I feel it, I turned down the offer of being lead detective, I understand it would be a really good thing for my career, but I put my career ahead of my family before, I couldn’t do it again”, Nyla said. She doesn’t regret her choice, she is finally in a better place with Lyla, and she doesn’t want to put Leah through everything she put Lyla through.

“one of mine one time took a fire truck to have sex with a random woman”, Bobby told wade, they were comparing war stories of everyone under their watch.
All three of the other people laughed.
“I had two of my best officers loose a kid in my station, and they thought I didn’t know”, Wade chuckled.
Athena laughs, “what do you mean they lost a kid”,
Wade took a drink of his beer and said, “well, it all started because the one signed the other one up for a “make a dream” they were suppose to take a kid with cancer, who wants to be a cop, they were suppose to show him around the station, you know show it up to be a cop”,
“yeah we get those at the fire house sometimes, but I don’t think we’ve ever lost the kids”, Bobby said.
Wade let out a chuckle, “oh they lost him twice, they eventually found him at one of the computers trying to hack into the system”, Wade just shook his head at the fact that the kids dad really put his kid up to this, especially his kid with cancer.

Tim and Eddie are basically just watching in awe as Lucy and Buck talk more and more, they realized these two are very similar.
“I was struck by lightening and died”, Buck said. Eddie’s face fell a little bit, that was one of the hardest days of his life.
“ I died in a barrel, because I was taken by a serial killer”, Lucy said in such a mater of fact tone, like it was nothing. This time it was Tim’s face that fell, because that was the hardest day of his life.
Buck and Lucy are both a bit past tipsy at this point, when Lucy said, “this sexy man right here brought me back”, she said as she was pointing at Tim, who’s face was turning a little red.
Buck and Eddie just let out a chuckle. A song came on the juke box and at the same exact time, “I LOVE THIS SONG”, Lucy grabs Buck’s hand and says “let’s dance”, it was an upbeat song and Lucy just wanted to jump around dancing.
Tim looked a little off when he saw his fiancé taking another man to the dance floor, “he’s harmless”, Eddie said to Tim noticing the mans face.
“he can be a handful, I thought being in combat was hard, keeping Buck out of is own way sometimes can be harder than war”, Eddie said as he chuckled.
“you saw combat too?”, Tim asked.
Eddie nodded, “Iraq”, Tim nodded, “me too”. The two men just looked at each other they had already been getting along pretty well, but knowing they are both vets, is a new level of respect.

Bobby and Wade are still going back and forth with different stories of their people, and Wade says, “I have a Smitty”.
“I don’t know what that means”, Bobby said.
Athena laughed, “Quigley Smitty?”.
Both Luna and Wade nodded with a chuckle.
Athena looked at her husband and said, “Wade wins trust me”.
Luna, Athena and Wade all laughed, and Bobby was still confused.
“I still don’t know what a Smitty is”, which just made them all laugh harder.
