kelly walked into the loft he had finished up another boat repair and put his bags down, he called out" babe are you here?"
the silver haired lieutenant didn't get a response back so he started to walk around looking for his blonde.
finally when the older man reached the bedroom door, the door was closed but he hear quiet sobs inside. lightly knocking on the door he said" matty it's me. can i come in?" matt whimpered out" come in, kel."
opening the door seeing his boyfriend sitting on the bed blonde hair disheveled, eyes red and swollen with tears still rolling down his cheeks.
severide sat down next to casey and held his hand testing to see if the blonde wanted the contact, sure enough the truck captain leaned into the squad lieutenant wanting the comfort.
kelly held him for awhile gently rocking him and kissing the back of his head, matt said" im so sorry." the other man said" there's nothing to be sorry for baby."
casey started to sob again, severide started to rub his back and said" whenever your ready to talk about it im here now i'll just hold you."
the blonde man said" thank you baby." while the squad man just held him tight and close to his chest.
the captain cleared his throat and said" gabby called me. screaming at the top of her lungs to tell me that everything was my fault! that i made a mistake to leave her and i should regret leaving her."
"that no one will ever love me, that you don't love me. im disgusting because im gay! she said that i shouldn't have made captain, im a sad excuse for a man. i should lose my command because i-i'm in love with another man."
kelly was fuming. he wanted to do nothing more than to put that bitch in her place, she had no right to say those things to his boy or to even contact him. the squad man could feel the anger bubbling up inside of him, his jaw was clenched, ready to yell and punch a hole in the wall.
severide glanced down at his blonde. casey was holding on him for dear life, the tears still escaping, his expression lost and hurt. knowing that before he exploded in anger he needed to stop, take breath so he could comfort and reassure his boy.
the other man wrapped his arms around his boyfriend, he said" babe what she said isn't true. she is manipulative, all she did was tear you down and make you feel like shit about yourself, case."
"she only cares about herself and everything she did to you was abuse. you have alot of people who love you matty, all of 51 loves you and i love you. i love you so much," the squad lieutenant kissed his boyfriend on the lips, repeated the kisses on his nose and forehead.
"there's nothing wrong with being gay! i think it's a beautiful thing, you finally being yourself without fear after years of bottling it and you didn't deny it anymore. im so proud of you for that, baby-"
matt spoke up for the first time in awhile and said" really? y-you are p-p-proud of me, sev."
kelly said" yes im so proud of you, case. im always proud of you! but i still have more to say though if that's okay-"
the blonde captain said" of course that's okay. i'll keep listening baby."
the squad lieutenant smiled and kissed casey's head continued" saying that you shouldn't have made captain. that's bullshit, you are one of the most respected officers in the whole cfd, babe. you have worked so hard to make captain. you aren't a sad excuse for man, in fact you are the strongest man i know. you are beautiful, smart, funny, caring, loving, compassionate, thoughtful, loyal, understanding, wonderful, so strong and sexy of course."
matt was starting to smile and said" thank you for reminding me baby i love you too-"
kelly kissed his lips and said" that makes me happy. but let me finish please, my love."
the blonde man quickly kissed him back, apologized for interrupting and let his boyfriend continue.
severide said" you shouldn't lose your command for any reason, especially not because we're inlove. all of 51 loves and supports us, what anyone else thinks doesn't matter."
"matt her opinion doesn't matter, it never mattered in the first place. as long i'm with you i know i'll be alright. as long we're together we can get through anything."
casey said" thank you for taking the time to listen, talk, comfort and reassure me, kels."
the silver haired lieutenant said" you don't have to thank me. im always going to make time for you, matty. you are the most important person in my life never forget that."
the other man said" ill always make time for you too, babe and i won't forget it."
kelly kissed him and said" how about we have some hot chocolate, a snack and watch a movie."
matt said" will there be cuddles involved too?"
the squad man said" of course always cuddles for you baby."
the blonde captain smiled, wiped the last of his tears away and took severide's hand in his. this made the squad lieutenant smile bringing their joined hands to his lips and kissing them.
kelly said" ill make the hot chocolate and you pick the movie, baby."
matt said" sounds good, sev. mine i want the mini marsh-"
the older man said" mini marshmallows with alittle of whipped cream in the blue mug. baby i know you!"
the captain flopped on the couch and said" you know me really well."
as severide was making the hot chocolate and getting the snack together. casey was getting comfortable on the couch, under the blanket and picking out the movie. finally, the squad lieutenant came into the living with a tray with both of their hot chocolates and peanut butter cookies.
kelly said" what movie did you pick, my love?"
matt said" lilo and stitch. i hope that's okay if-"
the silver haired man said" it's perfect! i know it's one of your favorites, you deserve some comfort and something familiar after everything that happened."
the blonde captain smiled and said" thank you, kel."
severide pressed play on the movie cuddled into his boyfriend's side, kissed casey's head and said" you need anything else babe?"
casey said" a blanket, something salty and cuddles please."
the squad man walked away to get the things that his blonde requested. he returned back to the couch a fluffy blue blanket in his hand and with a box of cheez-itz in the other, he said" i got the blanket and something salty, honey."
matt pulled him down to the couch, kissed his lips and said" thank you baby. now cuddle me please!"
kelly said" you don't have to tell me twice."
putting the blanket around them, opened the box of cheez-itz transferring some to a bowl. getting comfortable and started to cuddle into his blonde's side. they are watching the movie, cuddled up under the blanket, drinking their beverages and having the snacks.
matt finished his hot chocolate, grabbed the last peanut butter cookie and popped it into his mouth.
kelly kissed him and said" peanut butter delicious," licking his lips
the blonde man said" im always delicious."
severide said" you definitely are," kissing him again
the boyfriends are all cuddled up with their blanket. kelly is laying on top of matt listening to his boy's heartbeat, their legs are all tangled together and while casey is playing with severide's graying hair.
right now the blonde felt so safe, he always felt this safe when he was with kelly. he was glad that his boyfriend knew him so well and knew exactly what to do when he found him in the midst a breakdown after his fortuitous call with gabby.
he hoped that wouldn't see or hear from her ever again, she really a number on him. severide was helping him heal and process everything that she put him though. his boyfriend was always so patient with him, comforted and reassured him whenever he needed it. the truck captain didn't know what he would do without kelly.
severide popped some cheez-itz in his mouth then looked over at casey, noticing that he was sound asleep. his boy taken most of the blue blanket and had his arms protectively wrapped around the squad lieutenant's waist.
kelly smiled, kissed the blonde's head and turned off the movie. trying to wake up his boyfriend, speaking softly" baby you fell asleep let's go to our bed."
he was only met with mumbles and grunts from the sleeping man. the silver haired lieutenant knew that his boyfriend was a pretty deep sleeper despite his years of firefightering.
doing what he normally does when this happens, he maneuvered his blonde boyfriend's sleeping form and carried him to their bedroom. after severide got casey comfortably in bed, sliding in next to his beautiful boy and started to cuddle into him again.
the squad man kissed his blonde's forehead and said" goodnight sweet dreams, i love you baby."
the truck captain mumbled back" night, i love you too kels."
