Chapter Text
Far far away, in the Andromeda Galaxy...
Kiusana, a small, arid planet, resided here. One look at it's surface showed how sixty percent of the world's surface was covered by an arid, dry desert, constantly battered by the rays from the star it orbited, with the rest of the surface being covered by the ocean. Yet despite this harsh conditions, life still persists. Not only did the residents of Kiusana survived, they thrived.
Once you ventured deeper into the planet's atmosphere, you would quickly find multiple cities, settlements and farms, all over it's surface, even as you advanced further in-land, the driest parts of the planet. How could Kiusanan civilization expand and thrive to this degree on such and environment? Well, a closer look at their arts and many monuments would give you the answer, as all over Kiusanan civilization, a certain species is abundantly present.
The Orishan. Humanoid, biped aliens, with bodies covered by a crustacean, shell-like exoskeleton, red and black in coloration. These alien species, who evolved and originated from the coastal zones of Kiusana, had a miraculous ability.
not only could they absorb the moisture in the air, but also hydrogen and oxygen, letting them create water as a natural byproduct. With this ability, as the Orishans moved further in-land, leaving behind the seas in which they were born, they turned the once desolate deserts of Kiusana into fertile oases, where Kiusana's other inhabitants could thrive. Understandably so, the Orishans are highly respected and revered by all others on Kiusana, for their "magical" powers. Statues, monuments, paintings and all manners of art depicting the Orishan could be found in Kiusanan civilization, you would have a difficult time finding a place were there weren't. They were treated like wizards, and given the treatment of nobles, with almost, if not all Orishans living in the middle-to-upper class; holding highly influential and powerful positions in society, Bivalvan was one of them.
A highly intelligent and calculative individual, Bivalvan was highly regarded by his peers, even when compared to other Orishans. He was a genius technician and mechanic, with a knack for spaceship assembly and small gadgets, his work ranged from large-scale ambitious projects like a massive space cruiser to small trinkets put together from scrap and bubblegum in a few minutes. He was also a skilled glassmaker, with Orishan glass being considered the best in the galaxy, due to it's ability to withstand multiple, highly different atmospheres.
It was a day unlike any other. The rays from Kiusana's Sun were as harsh as ever, it's inhabitants bustling trough the streets on their daily commute. Bivalvan was busy, working on a big job alongside his employees and assistants, requested to his workshop. The building was a large hangar connected to a multiple-stories building, made so large airships could enter in and out with ease.
The job was a spaceship, and a big one at that. Bivalvan was overseeing the operation, making sure no one was making any mistakes or slacking on the job, as even a single screw loose could potentially have catastrophic consequences. Once done checking on everyone, Bivalves got to work on the most delicate part of the ship, The Warp Drive. It was what would allow the ship to reach hyper-space and cross the vast void of space so it could get anywhere on any amount of reasonable time, one mistake the entire thing could explode once activated.
Bivalvan was laser-focused on his job, his focus only breaking as one of his assistants called out his name, causing him to slip-up, passing the blowtorch in his hand over a circuit board on accident.
Bivalvan held his brow with his fingers and let out a long sigh, looking at the mess he had just made, it would cost him a dozen more hours of work, and a new, not-cheap circuit board. "What is it?" He asked in a grumpy tone.
"Sir! You need to come outside and look!" Said the non-Orishan assistant that had called him out earlier. Once he saw the worry on his assistant's face and heard the commotion outside, his mood shifted from annoyance and slight anger to one of worry and anxiety.
As he stepped outside, he saw everyone looking directly at the sky, and when he looked up, he could tell why. A massive ship loomed over the city, just a few dozen mentors away from his workshop, casting a shadow over many of the buildings, it's intentions unknown. A few minutes passed until finally, a silhouette descended from the enormous vessel, accompanied by many others. It was a man, with long, black hair and a large forehead, showing off four small, flesh-colored horns. He wore a brown knee-length, open-chested tunic, showing off his muscular physique. Going down he wore baggy jeans and black, calf-high boots. His eyes were red and full of malice, armed with a spear-like grey staf. To top it all off, he was accompanied by a large squadron of robots, grey and red in coloration, all of them armed.
The people of Kiusana quickly descended in a panic as Agreggor's robotic servants started attacking the city, firing at anyone without care, Agreggor himself making a beeline towards Bivalvan's workshop. Acting quickly, the Orishan yelled at his co-workers "Quick, everyone! Run and hide!", before slamming a button on the side of the wall, as the workshop's door slided down in painfully slow fashion.
"Ugh, can't this thing move any faster!?" Exclaimed Bivalvan. Thinking quickly, he aimed his hand downwards, as he did, from his grey, clawed hands, two holes on the palms of his hands opened up, before blasting two torrents of water with incredible force, propulsing him into the air. Once he reached the workshop's garage door, he grabbed it with one hand, then aimed the other upwards, and shot another blast of water, this time, propelling him downwards, pulling the garage door with him and slamming it shut. Once the door was closed, the Orishan quickly ran behind his co-workers, Before noticing that one of them, also a Orishan had stayed behind.
"Didn't you hear me? We have to run!" Exclaimed Bivalvan.
"I-I got worried! I-I thought s-something could happen and that you could need my help!" Said his Orishan co-worker.
Before their discussion could continue, they both quickly looked back as they heard and explosion, and saw that the workshop's door had a large hole blown through it. From the dust and smoke, they saw Agreggor emerge, holding his spear, as the tip crackled with red electricity' with a squadron of robots following him.
"Stay back!" Yelled Bivalvan's coworker. As he quickly stepped forward, he put both of his hands together, before a large torrent of water came out of his hands with incredible strength.
Reacting quickly, Agreggor quickly stood his ground and started spinning his staff with both hands, repelling the large torrent of water and sending it to it's sides, with a smirk on his face. Once the torrent subsided, he readied his spear and fired s blast of red energy from it.
"What!?" Was what Bivalvan's coworker exclaimed as Agreggor repelled his attack with relative ease, before getting struck by the blast from Agreggor's spear. As he groaned in pain, Agreggor quickly leap forward and took a hold of the Orishan's face, a gasp of fear was all he could elicit before the Osmosisn started siphoning the life out of him.
Bivalvan watched in horror, as his coworker had his life sucked out of his body. His co-worker's exoskeleton visibly shrank and withered. Once Agreggor was done, he dropped the lifeless husk of the Orishan, falling limp on the ground, showing it's empty eye sockets were it's blue eyes had once been.
Bivalvan stepped back in fear, before noticing, that Agreggor's arm visibly changed to resemble that of an Orishan's. It was then that Bivalvan understood what this monster had done to his friend, he absorbed his powers and life force for himself!
As the realization of what happened hit Bivalvan, Agreggor aimed his arm at Bivalvan, shooting a blast of water, slamming him against the workshop's wall. Bivalvan groaned in pain holding the back of his head with one arm, before looking up at Agreggor with a devious smirk on his face.
Trying to come up with something to escape, he looked at the ceiling to see the engine of the ship he was working on, suspended in the air by four chains.
"W-what do you want from me?" Asked Bivalvan in a fearful tone of voice, hiding a hand behind his back, waiting for the Osmosis to come just a bit closer.
"You, is what I want. More specifically, your powers" said Agreggor in a cold tone of voice, with a smile on his face as he approached the Orishan, with his robotic servants walking at his sides.
"Heh", snarked Bivalvan "Then you're gonna have to look somewhere else!"
As he did, he swung his arm upwards, Agreggor readying his guard to intercept the attack. However, Bivalvan's true target was the engine suspended in the air, right above where Agreggor was standing. Shooting a thin, concentrated blast of water with incredibly high pressure towards the chains, Bivalvan cut the chains holding the incredibly heavy engine in the air. Agreggor reacted too late, as the engine fell on him, crushing him and keeping him pinned to the ground.
Agreggor's robotic servants quickly shifted their focus from the Orishan to lifting the engine off their master. Bivalvan quickly took care of the opportunity, a massive flow of water emanating from his arms, slamming the robots against the workshop's door, some of them getting flushed trough the hole in the door Agreggor had made.
Once his pursuers were off him, Bivalvan quickly ran out of the room and up the stairs in the building connected to the hangar. He knew that his little trick would only keep Agreggor busy for so long, and he was right.
On the hangar, Agreggor raised a hand, touching the engine. As he did, a coating of the same metal the engine was made of spread from his hand to the rest of his body, Agreggor had absorbed the metal from the engine. With the help of his robotic servants and the strength granted to him by his metal coating, he easily got the engine off him, before standinng up and dusting himself off.
"Hehehe, a crafty one." Giggled Agreggor. "But it doesn't matter what tricks you pull, you can't escape from me!"
Bivalvan had reached the top of the building, where his own personal workshop resided. It was a small room, a place for small, less bulky commissions, unlike the spaceships he worked on at the hangar. He liked the privacy, and not having the sounds of heavy machinery coming off from 5 different places. He didn't have time to think about this, however, as he quickly looked around for any scraps of metal and tech he could get his hand on, anything he could make into a weapon, and he needed to do it fast.
Before he could even come up with anything, he could hear multiple footsteps quickly riding up the stairs. Realizing there was no time to make anything, he readied himself for the arrival of his pursuers, arms pointing towards the door.
As Agreggor reached the top of the building, he knocked the door down in one kick. As he did, Bivalvan quickly shot blasts of scalding hot water from his palms. Agreggor quickly reacted to it, and just like against his coworker, he stood his ground and repelled the water blast.
Bivalvan did not let up for a second and kept blasting boiling hot water towards Agreggor, who was defending against the blast with moderate effort. Once Bivalvan had let up, the entire room was covered in a thick fog, clouding Agreggors's vision. This was Bivalvan's plan, to create a cover for him to sneak and escape.
"Aggrobots, Open fire!" Agreggor yelled, his robotic servants followed his orders and started blindly firing inside the room, trying to hit anything. Once they stopped, they heard the sound of glass being broken.
Agreggor clicked his tongue "Tch!", then, spinning his staff in his hands, he dispelled the steam filling the small room.
The steam had cleared up, the room was empty, with Bivalvan nowhere to be found, and a window broken.
Agreggor walked up to the window and looked downwards, "Maybe I gave him too much credit earlier, what's the point of making a smokescreen if you're gonna telegraph your escape route?" Said Agreggor.
"Follow me, he couldn't have gotten very far!" Agreggor ordered to his servants as he jumped trough the window, landing on the floor with a resounding thud.
The Aggrobots quickly followed suit, jumping through the window, landing with less grace. "You won't get way from me.", said Agreggor with a smile on his face.
Back in the workshop, Bivalvan stepped from behind one of the cabinets of his workshop, looking around to check that everyone had left. "Heh, he fell for that." He chuckled to himself. His plan of creating a smokescreen with steam, then throwing an object trough the window to make them believe he jumped trough it had worked.
As he looked through the window to check if they had left, he saw the chaos outside, as the local law enforcement had an all out battle against Agreggor's army of robots, who just kept coming down from his ship, like there were an infinite number of them.
"Lucky, it seems like he left." Thought Bivalvan to himself. "Now, I need to get out of here and as far away as possible."
Bivalvan began running down the stairs, and as he stepped outside into the hallway, he felt a sharp pain as something struck him in the back of the head.
It was Agreggor.
But how? He thought he had left!
"Heh, can't believe you felt for that." Agreggor chuckled. "You really thought I would fall for that? When the hole in the window was not even large enough for you to go through?" Said Agreggor in a mocking voice. "You made a smokescreen only to completely telegraph your escape route, foolish.", he remarked.
Bivalvan groaned in pain, trying to aim his arm at Agreggor, before he could do anything, Agreggor pointed his spear st him and shot a small blast of energy, knocking Bivalval unconscious.
"One down, four to go" said Agreggor. "Once all of them are in my hands, nothing will stop me from getting my hands on the Ultimate Prize!" He yelled out triumphantly.
Unfortunately, Bivalvan wasn't be the only one on Agreggor's list...
