The Experimentalist - Darth Tenebrous
Death : The mines of Bandomeer
Response : laying low, keeping the boys spirit trapped in the body and letting it run while he observed
How? : Obi-Wan was Plagueis’s test-run for Anakin, and supposed to be a backup body to possess if he died before Anakin was created/strong enough to be a suitable host.
Tenebrous did exactly this to Plagueis, so effectively had the keys to the new car.
Reveal:
Height of the Clone Wars, Jedi Council chamber.
The Council are all lamenting the war and trying to figure out who the sith master is, and Tenebrous - safe and smug in his venator with his long-since dechipped and sith-slaved battalion - decides he’s had his fun and points out all the reasons and ways it is so very obviously Palpatine. And also how blind are you idiots anyway? Not one of you ever noticed the possession thing, and it's a very, very sad indictment of their Order that the one they all call the best of them has been the host of and raised by a literal Sith Lord’s ghost since he was 12 years old. Morons.
By the way, Kenobi, you can let out all that pent up anger at everything they’ve fucked up about your life now, it’ll be cathartic and you have been a very educational host so have this one on me before I put you back in the passenger seat.

The Prodigal Knight - Revan
Death : Mandalore, protecting Satine from Death Watch during the Civil Wars
Response : These idiots are doing what, now, Ad? Why is the Manda screaming in frustration?? NOPE! They want a return to the Old Ways, I’ll damn well give them one! The Pacifists can deal with it or leave, I really don’t care which.
How? : The Manda did it and sat back with popcorn while cackling like a chaotic goose. It was starting to like that Mandokarla Jetti’Ad, dammit.
Reveal:
The Civil Wars are over, Mand’Alor the Relentless has claimed the Darksaber, somehow produced and never takes off the lost ancient Mask of Mandalore, and Qui-Gon Jinn returns to Mandalore with Bo-Katan Kryze - who absolutely refused to not answer the Mand’Alor’s call.
This goes about as well as you might imagine, given Jinn’s general… Jinn-ness and Revan having full access to Obi-Wan’s memories. Including the abandonment of Melida/Daan.

The Scholar - Odan-Urr
Death : Melida/Daan, while protecting the Young
Response : These children need all the help I can give them. Those adults are never going to stop on their own. I have an actual body again, and really really want to go on a five millenia catchup research binge somewhere quiet. I am a Teacher, an Archivist, have 1000 years of living and learning to back me up, and am a master of Battle Meditation.
I am also filled with righteous fury.
Let's do this.
How? : Obi-Wan is a nerd okay. He bloody loved the Archives as an initiate and Odan-Urr’s actual spirit was just a tiny bit more present in his holocron than future generations may have assumed. And more free-roaming than thought possible. He always was drawn to the scholarly children. Especially the ones who came back so thoroughly tested by Darkness as obi-wan had been on Bandomeer and yet remained so blindingly Light. Odan-Urr may or may not have ever so slightly formed a force-bond with him that had certain... side-effects... when the Padawan’s spirit tried to leave his body while bonded with the holocron-anchored spirit of the ancient Master.
Reveal: So when Master Tahl finally wakes from her coma, she goes on an absolute rampage upon learning that not only had Obi-Wan been left behind, but Qui-Gon had lied about it, and effectively betrayed an entire planets worth of children to their torturous, horrifying deaths because of his attachment to her. And not one of the oh so venerated Masters of the Council even thought to question his behaviour or his extremely lacking in detail version of events.
What the very-belated relief mission discovers on Melidaan is a society of children who are very displeased to see them, and a former-padawan leading the rebuilding efforts and the education of the entire population to an impossibly high standard for most Masters, let alone padawan, all while radiating the unmistakable presence and serenity of a venerable Master whose Light put Yoda’s to shame.
And who has apparently managed to master the ultimate Look of Professorly Disappointment, while also knowing far more about all of their youthful indiscretions than most of them even remembered having done.
