Chapter Text
Dying hurts.
This should have been obvious, but somehow Danny was still surprised. He had seen painful death, sickness and injuries weren't uncommon, but he also knew of peaceful death. Of going to sleep and never waking up. That's the death he wanted, to go to bed one day and not have a heartbeat in the morning. But here he is, being electrocuted to death.
And then he wasn't. Danny was ejected from the portal, he wasn't dying anymore and was instead face down on the floor of his parents lab. He had no idea how he was still awake, but he might as well assess the damage. He looked up to ask Sam and Tucker to help and started to panic, he was alone. His friends had left, he had been dying and his friends had left. Danny went to go feel his pulse in an attempt to calm down, but he couldn't find it, his friends weren't the only thing gone.
He looked down at his hands only to startle when he could see through them. 'I'm a ghost' His panic increased as he thought about what his parents might do. 'Fuck, FUCK. No no no nonono. I'm dead, fuck.'
He heard the door at the top of the stairs open and moved to hide but his legs didn't work, actually they were gone as well, his new tail also refused to work. Story for another time because he needed to be human five minutes ago. Just as the pounding footsteps began to get louder a bright light erupted from his midsection, blinding him and most likely whoever just entered the lab.
After he regained his vision all he got was a quick shout of his name before he was engulfed in his friend's embrace. Jazz was right behind them yelling at someone to hurry over the phone before turning to fuss over him. "OH MY GOD DANNY," her yelling was cut off by her pushing past the other 2 teens to check on him, "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? Fuck your bleeding so much. Can you talk?" His attempt to answer her questions and calm her down ended in a croke as his screamed raw throat denied him his voice.
"Jazz the ambulance is here!" Jazz thanked Sam as Danny slipped out of consciousness, the last thing he noticed was the fact that his legs were back.
