Islay Rinne had woken to a world of white, unsure where they were.
“Where am I?” Islay asks out loud to no one.
“The heavenly realm,” Said a voice, voices. Islay turns around, their green eyes showing their surprise before narrowing.
“Who are you?” They ask, body angled away from three women.
“I am Din of the flames,”
“I am Farore of the winds,”
“I am Nayru of the waters,”
As goddesses said their names, Islay’s mind played over the familiar names.
“I’m… in Hyrule?” She asked in a confused tone.
“What will be Hyrule?” Said Nayru.
“The games are our story, we wish to start anew, so we brought you here,” Said Farore.
“Wait, this place is real?” Asked Islay, their voice reflecting their confusion and interest.
“It is yes, however, like most things, not everything is as it seems,” Said Din.
Islay however was trying to process how she got here, how they ended up here.
Islay learns magic under the three golden goddesses, they change, they grow, they adapt, till they are deemed ready by the three goddesses to head to the physical realm.
Legends passed down from generations often change and grow with the people who tell their stories, however, there has been one story that has stayed the same and has been told over and over again that repeats through unaltered.
The golden goddesses summon into Eria the Guide, Shanachie. Trained by the goddess in the art of warfare and magic.
Shanachie was sent to untamed lands and worked as a healer as Hylia and the allied villages against the forces of Demise.
While tending to a case of sickness in the village known as Nilfur, she was approached by the knight Link Greatraven and his companion Orville Metalheart.
Faced with the task of healing Hylia, Shanachie asks for the circumstances that caused her collapse and the two men tell of Hylia’s fight with Demise.
Shanachie listens as she heals and tells them that there is something big coming up.
Shanachie the wanderer travels with Hylia, Link and Orville and helps them in their journey, though the healer’s foresight is coveted by Demise. He kills the healer and hides her soul.
Link, Hylia and Orville use what Shanachie had left behind some notes and using those helped them in defeating the demon king. Link would lose his life.
In a land hidden by the clouds, A brother-sister duo lived at the school. Shanachie, the older sister to Link, was a healer and was often seen around the school and out in the field with her Loftwing Tyrian. Link the younger was considered a lazy boy, but kind all around, his Crimson Loftwing.
They traveled to the land that would become Hyrule and face Demise, freeing Hylia’s incarnation and two spells placed upon the individuals that were there.
As the people of Skyloft get to know the land, the hero reborn and the wandering seer and the reincarnation of Hylia established a kingdom that would be known to all as Hyrule.
Generations pass, Hylia’s hero appears in times of distress for the kingdom, the wandering seer by their side and helping in any way.
With the hero blessed by the Minish and later the man who becomes four, she was his guide, she taught him about magic and taught him to see the other side.
Shanachie broke the curse that Demise made all the centuries ago, allying herself with the Gerudo people and teaching the king the magic of the sands and the skies. She cursed Demise to wander for eternity, for the host he takes, she will destroy him, lock in a place that not even Shanachie themselves can reach.
With the hero of Time, Shanachie was a figure to lean against, they helped the hero and the princess in their battle with Demise’s host.
Legends get messy however and there are many stories that are split between lines of history.
In one timeline, Shanachie is the mother of the people who would found a new Hyrule with the hero of the winds and spirits.
In another timeline, Shanachie is a light in the darkness as she guides the hero of legend and the hero that wandered against Demise.
In the last timeline, she teaches the hero of Twilight about the shadows and how double edged they are.
The war of eras, a great and devastating war that unites these three histories and remakes it, she walks with the hero of warriors.
As Hyrule rises and follows, found again and again, Shanachie recorded it.
She walked with the hero of the Zonai and the hero that lived among the Sheikah and with that, the hero of the wilds.
Shanachie walked with them all and helped as the role of the hero changed along with the princess.
However, forces would have Shanachie walking with the heroes of the past and present.
Hylia called Shanachie to help with the shadow and so this adventure begins.
