"Where are you taking me, Phi?", Mark tried his luck again.
"Aha, I know what you're doing; no, it's a surprise", Vee kept his hand on the steering wheel as Mark pouted beside him.
They've been driving for over an hour, and there's still no sign of stopping soon. This afternoon, Vee suddenly asked Mark to go on a road trip. He did say it's nothing fancy and they'll only go somewhere near, but that's not what it looks like now.
Vee glanced at his boyfriend and laughed at his pouted lips. Vee had planned this road trip for a while. Once they'd settled down after officially being boyfriends, Vee wanted to take Mark somewhere just the two of them as a chance to spend time together and to apologize. Vee still had regrets lingering in his heart for all the times he had hurt him.
"C'mon, do you hate my surprise that much?", Vee asked as he turned the car onto a main road.
"It's not that, I feel bad, I could've helped with the cost if I knew we'd go far", Mark said.
Vee just smiled, but that's the whole point. Aside from the car, which is Mark's, everything else costs Vee's hard-earned money from his part-time job.
"That's the point. I don't want you to do that. So, let me do this for you, just this time, na?", Vee grabbed Mark's hand with his free hand, making the smaller boy flustered.
After all, Mark still wasn't used to Vee actually acting as a boyfriend. So he only nodded and turned his face to the window, hoping that Vee wouldn't see his reddening face.
"Good boy", Vee squished Mark's hand one more time before he let it go so he could drive.
In less than 30 minutes, Mark finally realized where they were heading as their car went through a road with a beach view on its side.
"You're taking me to Pattaya?"
"Well, I think it'll be fun, I've reserved a little suit near the beach too, with a private outdoor bath too", Vee glanced at his boyfriend.
"You pervert", Mark slapped Vee's arm, but his face redden anyway, knowing the implication of Vee's words.
Mark decided to let things go, as he also didn't want to fight his boyfriend and just enjoy the trip. The view was insanely gorgeous as the sun was setting on the horizon. The reflection on the water created a natural view that Mark enjoyed seeing.
The view got cut off when their car went inside a tunnel. There was a strange feeling that both Vee and Mark felt when they rode through the tunnel. Well, people tend to feel uncomfortable when they have to be in a closed space for a period of time. When the car was out of the tunnel, there was a sudden flash of light that surprised both Vee and Mark.
"That's dangerous, what was that?", Vee slowed down their car to adjust to the light until it went back to normal.
The view hasn't been different from that before they entered the tunnel, just the sun had already disappeared and the weather got a little bit hotter. Only purple and red skies remained, which soon would also turn dark as night came. Mark tried to stop his heart from beating. It's their vacation that Vee has worked on, so Mark will try to enjoy it.

Their suit was better than Mark thought. Sure, it's only a suite with one room, a little bathroom, and an outdoor bath, but it has access to a gorgeous beach view. This suit is apparently popular with couples, and Mark couldn't help the blooming blush on his cheeks when the clerk told them about it. Vee intended to rent the suit, though, so he could spend some lovey-dovey time with his boyfriend in the right atmosphere and away from nosy people.
They decided to order some room service and have dinner inside that night. Mark voluntarily offered a cuddle session because he knew Vee must've been feeling tired after driving, plus he just wanted to show that he was grateful for Vee's efforts.
Vee, of course, accepted right away, after all, it's still pretty rare for Mark to initiate some affectionate sessions with him. It's usually him who takes the lead. So, after they showered and got comfy under the comforter, Vee immediately engulfed his smaller boyfriend. Mark just complied and relaxed in Vee's arm. Inhaling the fresh scent of body gel that they share. Well, Mark never hated their cuddle session anyway. They definitely had a good night's sleep that night.
When Mark opened his eyes the next morning, Vee wasn't in their bed. He tried to adjust to the sunrise light that came directly through their window. Then he heard the shower running from the bathroom and relaxed. A couple of minutes later, Vee came out of the shower. His body was still wet, with only a towel wrapped around his waist.
Mark hasn't gotten used to this either.
"What?", He asked from under the blanket when Vee stood at the foot of the bed, staring at Mark with hands on his waist. "I'm not thinking what you thought I was thinking."
"I haven't said anything, baby", Vee said teasingly, and Mark could see his eyes flicker.
Oh boy, he's in the mood, and Mark just motivated him with his response.
It happened so fast, but in no time, Vee had already gotten rid of the comforter and pinned Mark to the bed. Their mouths were busy tasting each other. Screw the morning breath, Vee was too eager to care about it.
"It's still morning", Mark said between gasps as Vee slowly made his way down his neck to his collarbones. "You really.."
Vee only chuckled, and Mark felt the hot breath hitting his skin, which was already on fire. Mark didn't stop his boyfriend, if not, he only encouraged him to continue. The room gradually became hotter as Yin peeled every piece of clothing off Mark's body. Mark was glad Vee didn't plan on going sight seeing that afternoon because Mark thought he wouldn't be able to get out of bed by then.

The sun-set view looked even more beautiful from their room. Both Vee and Mark have already showered and planned to get dinner at the beach tonight after doing some sightseeing. The restaurant that Vee chose had an outdoor area on the beach, and Mark would be lying if he said he didn't feel excited about getting to eat with such a vibe. Even though Mark had to swallow his embarrassment for asking the waitress if he could get more padding on his chair because a certain someone destroyed his rear this morning, he still forgives him.
Vee had been wonderful as well; after dinner, he took Mark to walk along the beach. It was quite late at night, so there were not so many people. So Vee felt a little braver and boldly took Mark's hand and held it. Mark, who usually would refuse such a display of affection, just let himself be led by Vee. The night wind felt nice too, and after walking for a little over ten minutes, they decided to sit on the sand for a while before going back to their room.
"Thank you, Phi,", Marks says so softly that Vee almost couldn't hear him.
Vee's heart felt full and warm, seeing how adorable his boyfriend was when he was shy. Knowing he'd get hit if he teased Mark, he chose to put his arm around his waist and pull him close instead. If Vee wasn't being a stupid asshole, he'd have had this moment with Mark a long time ago. What did he even think of back then? Stupid past Vee
Well, it's all in the past, and what matters right now is whether Vee is willing to redeem himself and be the best version for Mark. Vee didn't want to experience losing Mark all over again. That hurts like hell.
The wind was getting chilly as midnight approached. Mark and Vee decided to go back to their room. On their way back, they saw two guys roaming on the beach, they seemed to be looking for something they'd lost in the sand. Vee didn't want anything to do with them at first, but Mark, being Mark, wanted to check if they could help them, so they decided to approach them.
"Uhm, excuse me? Do you guys need help finding something?", Mark approached them.
Both of them have had their faces downwards because they were looking for something. So when they really looked up, they couldn't help but be surprised. Mark looked even more surprised to see someone with the same exact body as him. Vee was no different because the taller guy looked exactly like him.
"Yeah, I lost my brace-, huh?", The smaller ones halted when they saw the exact same face in front of them.
"H-how, Wh-who are you?", Mark said bewildered.
"What's happening?!"
