The scent of pancakes flooded the room, a pudgy kitten rubbed against Izumi's leg as a sizzle escaped a pancake on the griddle. It was a cooler day, summer heat calmed by yesterday's rain, making it a lovely day.
Leo had opened the apartment's windows; popping his head out as a dog would on a car ride— he rambled on and yelled something out the window, yet the kitchen was far too noisy to hear what the ginger was spouting with that lovely smile. Eyes closed into the biggest smile Izumi had seen all week; the composer never could handle the heat, could he? Ever so joyous when the weather was just right. Not too humid— Izumi also hated what humidity did to his hair— but also with a subtle breeze, and the sun blanketed in the beautiful clouds Florence painted into the sky for the two.
"Let's go to the beach, Sena!" Dashing into the kitchen, catching himself on the counter before his fuzzy socks drug him onto the tiled flooring. Warmly chuckling, before quickly eyeing the pancakes Izumi plopped onto a paper plate; a humorous snort left his lips at the drool that already had accumulated at Leo's lips.
"Eat up, Leo kun." Elbowing the aforementioned with a grin, pointing out the plentiful toppings they had specifically for him. "The beach, huh.." leaning against the counter, eyes silently following the composer's movements as he grabbed syrup and drenched the plate. He practically heard the pancake pleading for its life.
"Mhmpf!" Enthusiastically nodding, on the tips of his toes as he attempted to speak— with his mouth stuffed with pancake already, "Ifs a nife day!"
"Gross! Don't talk with your mouth full." Punctuated with a dramatic huff, flicking the idiot's forehead as a scold before continuing, "I can't argue with that, though. It's nice out.. plus we have the day off. Might as well go out."
Leo nodded eagerly, excitement lighting up the ginger's emerald eyes; he grabbed Izumi's sleeve, attempting to drag him out of the kitchen to get ready. Yet, was met with little cooperation. A needlessly exaggerated sigh, followed by Izumi gently grabbing the ginger by the cheek; a dampened cloth soon meeting Leo's sticky face— damn syrup.
The duo got dressed, thin button ups and slacks hiding Izumi's bathing suit— disliking the idea of riding the bus in only a bathing suit and sandals, even if the ride was short. Admittedly selective of who got to see him in such attire outside of occasional photoshoots. Leo, on the other hand, wore his loose-fitting swimming shorts alongside his typical summer hoodie. Unfortunately, the idiot decided to wear crocs of all things— he was lucky Izumi was in a good mood today.
Surprisingly enough, the bus wasn't crowded; cool breaths of wind tickling his neck with each push of the gas pedal. Leo rested his head onto the other's shoulder, a content sigh leaving his lips, eyes glued to Izumi's hands— noting how the sapphire nail polish perfectly suited the colour of his eyes. Gosh, Sena was beautiful.
Leo's fingers were chubbier than his; scarred over blemishes and imperfections contrary to the other's pampered, smooth skin. His heart skipped a beat. Sliding their hands together, tracing fingers over the model's knuckles with a smile— "Leo kun, it's our stop." Quickly pulled from his thoughts, now brimming with excitement; Izumi could've melted from how bright the ginger's face was.
"C'mon, Sena~♪ Let's go!" Intertwining fingers, smile oh so bright; Izumi couldn't help but smile a bit himself, Leo's smile was infectious, wasn't it? Blood rushing to his face, heart fluttering, blush painting his cheeks as the composer led him out the bus and to the shoreside without second thought.
"Leo kun, wait!" Nearly tripping, the other halting to a stop with curious eyes. Clearing his voice before speaking, "You're going to soak your hoodie—!"
"Hurry! I'm excited~♪" lifting his arms up; Izumi carefully slipping it off up over his head, sure to avoid staring too much. Leo may have had a well.. small, yet handsome build, but he was quite sure that it didn't make it any less weird of him to gawk. "Wahaha! Sena's face is so red!" Chuckles punctuated in a tease; he took a step forward.
"It's not..!" A flustered pout; turning his reddened face from the idiot, throwing the hoodie off to the side along with two towels. Once again, Leo smiled so bright, leading them to the shore once more with a giggle.
"It is~♪" cheekily grinning, grabbing both of Izumi's hands. Water met their ankles with one step, and soon after, their knees. It was chilly, a perfect temperature for the humid weather; akin to ice inside of a glass of summers lemonade. "It's pretty!"
"Pretty?" Eye contact not yet met, not until the composer wrapped his arms around the model's waist; pulling him as close as he could. Chin resting against the model's chest, watching Izumi's reaction intently with an affectionate giggle, in awe of his beauty in even the most little of things. An embarrassed pout painting the model's face, enjoying the intimacy far more than he's willing to admit; emerald eyes and sweet, warm skin only flushing his face all the more as Leo slowly closed the distance between them.
"Beautiful, even~" were his last words before at *last* kissing that man; gentle and loving, standing on the tips of his toes. Their first kiss was simple, yet sweeter than honey; Izumi's chapstick a lovely caramel and god his lips were the softest thing the composer had ever felt. Melting into the other's touch; Leo sprinkled copious kisses across the corners of Izumi's mouth— makeup already a wreck. Yet, he was still breathtaking; one so beautiful that he rivaled diamonds and jewels. So kissable that Leo had found himself gazing at the model's lips time and time again with a face beet red.
Hands found themselves buried into ginger hair, leaning further into the kiss whilst the composer's hands slid from their prior spot. Palms moving smoothly up the model's chest, fingertips tickling the nape of his neck with a brief caress, before cupping his cheeks. Thumbs brushing against Izumi's flushed skin, separating from the kiss with a euphoric smile; the taste of the other's chapstick still lingered on his lips as he spoke— "I love you, Sena." Voice far more hushed than normally, as if trying to ensure the aforementioned could feel the sincerity with every word.
