"0kay , Wait , H0ld 0n ."
Geometrical adjusts the settings on xeir bass , fumbling with it a little . Xey're wearing a neutral colored tang top , a rarity for xem . Glancing up nervously , xey run a hand through xeir hair .
Blast sits quietly on xeir bed , waiting for xem to start . They didn't know why there were called here , most likely for some new thing Geometrical found cool and couldn't be bothered to send over text . Xey aren't usually ... nervous like this , in xeir dimly lit room with clothes strewn across the floor and posters haphazardly hung up and missing textures .
Before Blast can ask what's wrong , Geometrical's already talking .
One deep breath in . "I Wr0te This F0r Y0u ." Xey blurt out , trying to bring xeir gaze over to Blast and failing horribly . Still tuning it , xey bite their lip and quickly position it in their arms into a playing position .
"Oh ." Is all Blast can get out . Maybe their heart skipped a beat , one , two . Who's keeping count ?
"Y3ah ." Geometrical mutters , shutting their eyes tight . There's a thick , palpable silence between them , Blast staring right at the head that's turned away from them , Geometrical keeping their eyes shut tight . Blast can hear a quick mutter of "Ughghhh - Fuck - 0kay , Fuck It W3 Ball . Fuck It W3 Ball ."
Suddenly , xey turn back around and take a deep breath in . Repositioning xeir bass a little , xey nod . "0kay . I'm G0nna Start Playing N0w . That's C00l ?" For the first time during the past 10 minutes , Geometrical manages to look up at Blast .
Xeir eyes have always been ... strange . Out of place . So has Geometrical's general stature been as well , but it was more noticeable with the eyes . Pupils glitching between shapes , forming and shaping into stars and swirls and hearts . One pink the other green , both vibrant and big and wide staring at Blast with .. Fear ? Excitement ? An acceptances of some kind ? Melancholy ? Blast doesn't know . Geometrical never seemed that open , for as much as xey've talked about xemself .
Nodding , Blast murmurs a small "Um . Yeah . Yeah . That's cool ." , still looking at xeir eyes .
"C00l ."
Geometrical strums a few chords , seemingly warming up , before launching xemself into xeir memorized chords .
Blast stares in *awe* , watching as Geometrical skillfully strums each note with relative ease . They glance up and see xem staring at their bass with concentration on their face . And fuck , maybe Jumper introducing them to xem wasn't that bad of an idea .
Suddenly , a humming fills the room . It's Geometrical , filling in little pauses with xeir own melodic voice .
As the last ending notes play out , Geometrical stops the melody , bringing along xeir humming to an end . Blast stares , taken aback . Turning away , Geometrical brings xeir song to an end , looking down .
"Y3ah . Um . Th3r3 Y0u G0 ." Xey mumble , toying with the guitar nervously . Fuck , this isn't like xem . Goofy guy grind , remember ? It's just Blast . Xey shouldn't be so scared , and yet xey are . Emotions are so fucking stupid . Stupid enough to make xem fall in love with xeir friend . Rob damn it .
Eventually gathering enough courage to force xeir throat to open up , Geometrical laughs uncomfortably . "Y3ah ! H0p3 Y0u Lik3d It , Blast , N0w W3 Can Put This Past Us And -" Geometrical turns around .
Blast is directly in front of xeir face , leaning forward and staring straight into xeir eyes . They look with wide eyes and awe in their expression . Glancing both ways , xey put aside their base onto the floor , before looking back up at them .
"Geometrical ." Blast states . Xey lean back .
"... Blast ?" Geometrical asks . They lean in .
The two are practically on top of each other , looking . It's almost uncomfortable .
Suddenly , Blast falls on top of Geometrical , forcing a surprised "*0UGH -*" out of xem , and rolling onto their back . "GEOMETRICALLL !!!!!" They yell , smiling . "GEOMETRICAL !!!! THAT WAS SO GOOD , WHAT THE FUCK !!!"
Staring down with dizzied swirls in xeir eyes , Geometrical smiles from where Blast is holding xem in a tight hug . Managing to push the both of them up , xey grin . "0H ! THANKS ! I Sp3nt A Whil3 0n It F0r Y0u !!" Feeling Blast squeeze xem another time , xey wince . "C0uld Y0u Mayb3 L3t M3 G0 , Th0ugh ?"
Blast blinks , before immediately loosening their grip . "Sorry ," They say , letting their arms fall into their lap . "Got excited . My bad ."
"H3y , It's All C00l !" Geometrical smiles . Eyes drifting downward , Geometrical coughs . "S0 ... Did Y0u Lik3 Th3 S0ng ?" Xey ask , looking up at them .
"Geometrical . I fucking loved it ."
Xey blink . Oh , that made xeir face hotter than what it usually was around them . "0h !" Xey smile , before it dips into something warmer . "... Thanks ."
10 minutes later and the two said their goodbyes , Geometrical watching Blast descend down the hall and into the stairs . Making sure Blast's fully gone , Geometrical dips xeir head into xeir hands and groans .
Rob damn it . Xeir face is still hot .
