“Do it.” Harry forced eye contact. “Please.”
Draco swallowed. He wasn’t opposed , not if Harry was asking, but…“You’re positive?”
What was so impossible to say that it was preferable to invite someone into his head?
“Nothing bad, promise,” Harry said, like he was reading Draco’s mind.
“Legilimens.”
He fell into a whirlpool. A dizzyingly fast stream of memory.
The whirlpool cleared. He stood in a— the meadow. The one where they had their first date.
Since when could Harry do occlumency?
The air infused with warm feeling, bubbling up in Draco’s stomach, wrapping around his heart.
“This,” Harry said, both in his mind and out loud, “Is what I feel for you. How much I love you.”
The scenery changed. A tour through significant moments in their relationship.
Draco distantly thought he was crying.
Eventually it settled. Their backyard, and Harry kneeling. “Draco, love. Marry me?”
