Chapter Text
---
Blithe did not feel all that great in the morning, In fact, they felt like they slept on rocks. It was oddly loud, with quick gusts of wind seemingly blowing by, but there was no sensation on their shell. When blithe lift their void covered eyelids, they are immediately assaulted with that horrible light .
It cowered in fear in the dream, as HER blinding light burned it to ashes, SHE could not kill its physical shell, but in a dream?
-They scrambled to the darkest reaches of where ever they were. But the radiant light would not go away completely-
It was another story.
I snap my head up, it was dark now. What was going on? A Fleshy bug was talking to me with a calming voice.
---Aizawa
I was usually not the one to do this type of hero work during the middle of the night. I encountered a one-armed man-’ I think’ -with a quite obvious mutation-type quirk having a panic attack during my patrol. His form was slumped in the darkest corner of an alley, wearing a rather filthy yet well kept white robe, clutching his right side of his face with his only clawed hand, head slumped over his knees, shaking miserably. It was only out of luck that I noticed him, considering how dark that part of the alley was.
I could make a guess the backstory of the man. Having such a obvious mutation-type quirk, he could only find a job as a soldier in some war or another, likely losing and arm and quite possibly an eye. (B oth eyes? The other socket is pitch black. ) Coming to Japan after being sent away, He likely quickly fell into poverty, as now even less employers would take him.-
“Hey, ” I said, as I kneel down to him “it’s going to be alright…you’re having a panic attack.” Their head snaps up, and his hand drops away-revealing a faded but clearly nasty crack on the man’s head- His shaking does not quell whatsoever. I try to have the sight of my face incite calm feelings, but that failed. Baseless accusations directed towards myself, but my face doesn’t help.
His hand moves and I realize he was signing in ‘…is that Auslan? Damn, and I thought that was a waste of my time.’
‘ Who are you? ’ His hand still shook terribly
‘I’m Aizawa, and you’re panicking, Is it possible you can breathe in deep for me?’
The shaking completely stops, and I worry that I said something to make him go catatonic, but then his shoulders shake in laughter as he shakes his head? ‘ What’s so funny about that? ’
His hand moves and I realize he was signing in ‘…is that Auslan? Damn, and I thought that was a waste of my time.’
‘I don’t breathe.’
“What do you mean you don’t breathe? ” I exclaim in shock and worry. ‘ Was that a can’t instead of a don’t? I think it was.’
The man had already put his hand down, his already blank eyes glossing over me even more. I quickly start checking for any breathing, only to find a lack of a pulse.
‘Shit.’
---
Aizawa keeps talking to them for some time, but their thoughts were numbing…They were tired.
---
“119 what’s your emergency?”
“Pro-hero Eraserhead here, There’s a dead body on Main street.” I sighed, “I saw someone, who I think was a war veteran, having a panic attack. I thought I calmed him down, but it seems like he was having a heart attack, or something, as the Next thing I know he signs that he doesn’t breath, which I think is a translation error on my part, as it was likely can’t breathe. I check if he was breathing, but instead found a lack of pulse. The body’s already freezing, oddly enough.”
“Alright, we’ll send someone over. Stay where you are”
---
After Aizawa had paced around the width of the alley fifty-six times, an unknown man met up with Aizawa. Talking to each other with familiar tones.
---
“Naomasa.” I greet the detective.
“Aizawa,” Naomasa greets back, looking around the alley. “I was told to come over here to make sure it wasn’t a murder case, but I’m sure it’s just a ‘wrong time, wrong place’ type of thing.”
“Yeah. ‘I did not murder the man infront of me’ and all that.” We stare at the body for some time, until I had a rare moment of initiating a conversation. “I feel real fucking guilty about it, but I wish it wasn’t the only time I’ve used Auslan, outside of class that is.”
“Wait, you actually took that class? I thought everyone knew it was going to be nigh useless in Japan.”
“Well, a credit is a credit, and I was broke, and they charged a hundred yen.”
“Just a hundred?”
“Yup…I literally overpaid by buying the teacher a soda.”
“Huh.”
---
I was rudely awoken by a blaring cell phone ringing. It was Naosama.
“Hello?”
“Hey…do you remember the dead guy you could so conveniently understand two hours ago?”
“Hard not to forget using Auslan for practical reasons. What about him? I’m trying to sleep.”
“Hospital’s called me, apparently they aren’t dead.”
“Oh, my bad, I didn’t mean to misgender someon-Wait What ?”
---
When Blithe woke up, they were unsure where they were at, and their back was sore, again. They got out from some bag-

Jermmy the Nightguard jumped out of his chair as what he thought was dead rose.

-stretched, and made their way out the door. Once out side they stare at the horizon, tall structures went up into the seemingly endless height of the cavern roof. This was not Hallownest, the last and only kingdom.
Blithe attempts to yell, yet only lets out a whisper heard by none.
‘Where am I!
