they were walking late at night on the sidewalk just because they were bored so they decided to hangout tonight without their parents knowing, they didn't even care that it was already 1am.
"I bet you never graduated kindergarten, aren't you?" dream corrected while resting his wings because he got stuck in a tree while flying but luckily Rei caught him before he fell from the tree.
"of-of course I passed otherwise I wouldn't be here dumb@ss" Cade whispered angrily to him
"You don't know the difference between blond and blonde" Kyle commented as he ruffled Cade's ginger hair
"Well that's beca-"
"Guys, looks like we have a problem...again" Rei cut in, he lowered his phone to look at his friend who gave him an 'I know that' look"
"Let me guess, he caused it first?" kyle pointed his thumb at dream
"Me?, it wasn't my idea to push me off on a 25 meter high building, I said I just wanted to get some fresh air but STUPID cade pushed me and I had to fly and crash into a tree!" Dream babbled frantically because he was afraid it was really his fault
"Sounds like a squirrel- OUCH REI THE FCK??" cade screamed in pain after rei slapped his head
"Soo about the problem?" kyle turned to him and asked rei
"Remember the tree the dream hit earlier? It actually belonged to one of our neighbour, a husband and wife, her husband said he saw dream crashing into and dirty the tree area and told us to replace it" rei grumbled then showed his chat with the husband to his friends
"I brought money, how much is that tree cost?" asked Kyle as he took his wallet out of his pocket
"Um..500 bucks I guess?"
"absolutely not, i only bought 30 bucks" kyle replied and return his wallet to his pocket
"he keeps spamming me, what the heck do I do now?!"
His fingers are very fast typing the messages that keep spamming on his notification
"I don't know unless you block it?" dream suggests
he walked towards Rei and took his cell phone.
he clicked on the block sign and gave rei's phone back
"Oh yeah, that's a good idea by the way, I should have blocked it from the sta-"
"I'm starving, I wanna eat something!" Cade admitted, from the beginning Cade was REALLY hungry but He didn't bring any money but lucky, kyle bought it
"What kind of shop that opens at 1am?" Dream asked while crossing his arms, his dirty blonde hair tied up in a messy ponytail from the tree accident earlier.
"I think I saw a store still open across from us" Cade confirmed
"Let's go there now, I will guide you guys!" Cade demanded of them and started walking briskly down the store street
"Come on Rei! I'm hungry too" Dream pulled Rei's hand and took his hand following the others
oh again and again... rei felt butterflies fluttering in his stomach and he loved the feeling,
he had this feeling ever since Dream protected him from bullies when they were little, Dream's smile and the warm hand that held him made him feel this way.
he's not really sure how to feel only that, atleast he got to hold dream's hand again...

the wind at night is always cold especially at 1 this morning.
The four of them ate a light snack on a buss stop near the store comfortably
this silence didn't make them awkward instead it made them calm no one felt awkward with this situation
While they were eating, Rei looked at Dream, Dream looked so cold
Well of course he is
they are all wearing jackets or outerwear or thick clothes while dream only wearing turtleneck sleeves and jeans
so it's no wonder he's cold with the temperature here
The store's cold state didn't help either, it seemed like not only he felt that Dream was cold, Cade and Kyle could feel it too.
Rei stopped eating then took off his blue jacket and tucked it into Dream's back
Dream, who had been daydreaming, was shocked by Rei's sudden behavior, after that Rei just continued eating like nothing happend
Dream who was still shocked by that was processing what just happened
Shortly after....
Dream stood up ran
And scream
"Thanks for the jackettttt!!" dream ran while waving his arms to rei
"Hey! bring it back!" Rei chased him until he had to get his jacket back
"Wait for us!" Cade screamed with his mouth full of food and dragged Kyle by his jacket so Kyle wouldn't be left behind
