Chapter Text
“Come on it wasnt even that-” stuttered Tommy.
“NO!” Tommy's (ex) boss spat and slammed the door in Tommy’s face.
How rude.
So, he calls Tubbo. Tubbo is his roommate he’s known since, well… since Tommy can remember. The Fight Ring was never a pleasant subject to talk about, but when he meet Tubbo, everything thing got at least a little better. Tubbo and him just clicked. And that's how they share an apartment in West L´manburg. West L´manburg is for the people who are… kindly said: poor. That's why Tommy and Tubbo live there.
“Hey big man, what's up?” Tubbo's voice buzzed over the phone.
“Turns out being a receptionist is not my thing.” Tommy explains.
“Tommy! This is the theird job this week! And it's only friday!” Tubbo was right, it was only Friday and rent was due Sunday. Tommy did need to find a permanent job and fast.
“I'll be home soon big man.” Tommy replies, exhausted from yelling at his (ex) boss.
“Okay, just don't go into Re-” Tubbo started saying, but Tommy hung up before he could finish.
Now, The slight inconvenience is his old job is in east L’manburg, and his apartment is in West Lḿanburg. He would take a train, but knowing he just got fired from a job and Tommy and Tubbo were already short on money, Tommy decided the best option was just to walk. Only three miles! Not that bad, right?
Wrong.
Tommy had only walked a mile and a half when he felt a strange feeling of being watched. Growing up in L’manbug you get used to these kind of things. And learn to stay away from alleyways, don't talk to strangers, and most importantly, trust no one. So Tommy just ignored it and continued to walk briskly through Lmanburg.
After a while, the gnawing feeling of being watched still clawed away at him. Tommy was especially nervous to walk down Redvines to get to his house. Now, there's nothing wrong with Redvines, it was just very unbusy, save for the illegal traders lurking. It was also dark, tall buildings from the surrounding streets casting a shadow on Redvines twenty-four-seven, so many people avoided this particular street. For those reasons it was a classic spot to get an easy mugging victim. And get mugged Tommy did.
First, Tommy was pulled back by his hood with a yelp, his body crashing in the person that grabbed him. He was about to scream when a hand swiftly reached up and wrapped their cold fingers around Tommys mouth before he could get out a sound.
Now, for obvious reasons this was not a good thing. Tommy has got mugged before, like his wallet being rapidly pulled out of his pockets, but nothing like getting pulled into an alleyway. Is this kidnapping? Is this illegal?
Probably.
As Tommy was weighing his options and contemplating what to do, he was getting pulled further and further into the dark alley.
Tommy tried to fight them. Tried to kick and scream and pull the arms away from his chest that were dragging him further. How was Tommy going to get out of this one? He thinks of Tubbo, how he doesn't even get to say goodbye. To his best friend. To his only friend. How they'd play Mario Kart and Tubbo always won and Tommy would always accuse him of cheating. How Tubbo kicked in his sleep. How they were obsessed with Ramon. How Tubbo would always bite him randomly. How Tubbo would- wait. Tommy had an idea. With a shallow breath Tommy opened his jaw, and bit down.
Hard.
The person lept in pain and pulled away pushing Tommy and cradling their gnawed hand at their chest. Tommy looked up at the person, with a rose crown holding back her brunette hair. Black hoodie and a black mask placed securely on their face. Perfect, now Tommy could run. But before he could do anything he realized he was falling forward, falling at the kidnaper. He tried to get his footing, but that just made it worse, tangling his legs even more and continued to fall forward. Tommy reached up instinctively and ended up pulling something as he and the kidnapper came crashing to the hard ground. Tommy landed right on top of them.
Great. This is just wonderful.
Tommy got up instantly and looked at the kidnaper. Their mask were gone. Lips thin with anger, maybe even pain. Tommy looked down at his own hands to find her black mask laying innocently in his palms. The brunnett kidnaper and Tommy both seemed equally as panicky. Before Tommy could say anything he was suddenly flipped around onto his back with the kidnaper now laying on top of him.
His kidnaper looked Tommy straight in the eyes.
“Now that you've seen my face,“ she starts, “guess I'm gonna have to make it the last face you´ll ever see.”
“Now wait if I could just-“ Tommy started before he was punched right square in the face.
Tommy winced as he got punched again, but this one landed in his stomach. Tommy groaned and curled on to himself as the brunnet lady grinds with… excitement ? Thrill? Joy? Guess Tommy would never know. Just then, he was pulled up by his hair and slammed into the brick wall behind him. His skull hits the wall hard and bounces off of it a few times before Tommy lands on the ground again, vision blurry from tears. Or from getting his head slammed into a freaking wall. One or the other. Or both.
“It's Hannah, by the way” The Kidnaper… Hannah said sweetly.
Tommy screamed as he was kicked in the gut. Again and again and again. Tommy had never felt so lightheaded and so heavy at once. Tommy never felt so numb and so in pain ever at once. Tommy tried to stay awake, he really did. He almost drifted into that black hole when he suddenly heard a shout.
Hannah gets peeled off of Tommy, then someone gets thrown against a wall. Ha, imagine. Then footsteps. Footsteps getting closer and closer until they reached Tommy. Warm arms wrapped around his head and back and he winced in pain, shutting his eyes so tight they might explode. A gasp. Then another shout.
“Techno!! Get over here“ the voice screamed, sounding kinda panicked. Another pair of footsteps, heavier, ran over.
“Oh god. This is so bad. This is so bad.“ The voice said.
“Wilbur calm down.“ A new voice, a monotone voice spoke up.
Hmm Wilbur. Whose Wilbur? Was the last thing Tommy thought before sleep took over him and Tommy drifted into the black hole.
