Chapter Text
Wednesday has been pining on her werewolf roommate for quite some time now. The butterflies in her stomach when Enid hugs her, every accidental touch and the smile that reaches her eyes... disgusting.
Each day she's drowning deeper... deeper from the strange feeling she can't express due to a certain Gorgon.
They've been going out for 3 months, and it's excruciating for Wednesday, although she praises the werewolf's respect for her privacy by never bringing her boyfriend into their room.
She's done. The Couple's making out on Enid's bed, their room drowning in loud music as she closed the door of their dorm once again. The only place the Gorgon hasn't stained is now gone, their nirvana crumbling, their Eden tainted.
'to drown the noise, perhaps?' she thought as her cold heart broke more.
The music was too loud. The Couple have yet to hear Wednesday enter. She's done with these unreciprocated feelings; she won't continue wallowing while they're too busy in their own world. An Addams dying from a broken heart? One of the worst ways she can pass by the hands of the one she loves the most.
At breakfast the next day, Wednesday sits across Bianca, Yoko and Divina
"Yo, Addams, have you seen Enid?" Yoko greets her arms still around her girlfriends' waist
"I am not her keeper Tanaka" she replied, her teeth clenching. She was too sleep-deprived today, having to stay at the Library all night, afraid to face her blonde roommate or, worst, the Gorgon is still there and just returned to their room this morning to change into her uniform. Fortunately, no werewolf was in sight.
"But you want to be", Bianca whispers under her breath without looking at the goth before her.
"Continue, and I'll fillet you like a fish" Wednesday bites back
"Yeesh, you're on another level of grouch today" Yoko's eyebrows raise behind her tinted glasses
The argument got interrupted when Enid suddenly sat down beside Wednesday at the lunch Table Ajax in toll.
"Have you heard we'll have visitors from Woodsboro Academy?" Enid leans toward the table
"Didn't they just have a series of murders there? I heard somebody burnt the school down" Yoko leans to start their daily gossip session.
"Yea, and I heard they haven't caught the killer yet, and to top it, the killer even burned the school down. That's why the management sent their students to different outcast schools while the school's under repair," Enid continues.
Wednesday was half-listening. Usually, she'd be all ears. It's about unresolved murder and arson, but her focus is on Ajax's hand on Enid's thigh. She flinched when suddenly Enid touched her hand. "Wednesday, you okay?" Enid asks, concerned because she hasn't said a word yet.
She pulls her hand back from Enid and stands up. "As long as they stay 6 feet apart or below from me, couldn't care less, now if you'll excuse me", she walked away.
The following week, all students gather at the quad. Some are excited at the new faces, especially the blonde werewolf next to her, who can't seem to stay still. "Calm down, Enid people might think you're having an aneurysm", Wednesday deadpanned.
Principal Weems enters the quad with Students in a uniform like theirs but in black and gold on the edges of their collars and sleeves trailing behind her.
"Good Morning, dear Nevermore students. Please welcome our guest students from Woodsboro Academy, who will stay with us for 3 months while their school is renovated after such an unfortunate accident," Weems explained.
"Now I expect you to behave, give them the warm Nevermore welcome," Weems said while focusing on Wednesday in the crowd rolling her eyes.
A familiar figure behind Weems caught her attention. A woman with long jet-black hair and sharp eyes stared at her for what felt like an eternity.
The students clapping from their Principal's speech snaps them back to reality.
"Today shall be a free period to help our guests settle, come along now and let me lead you to your dorms" Weems turned around, and the students followed her.
"Dude, did you see that chick behind Weems? She looked at me and smiled!" Kent said excitedly
"Totally saw that she was looking on our way, right babe?" Ajax looked at Enid and touched her hand at the table, intertwining their fingers
Before Enid could answer, Wednesday abruptly stood up and excused herself from the group.
She's trying to stop herself from wiping that Gorgon's smile with dish soap as a homage to his name, but Enid won't like that, so she goes to cool off in the forest.
She felt after she entered the forest that someone was following her. Walking deeper into the woods, she felt the footsteps approach her closer. She stops before a giant oak tree, slowly reaches for one of her hidden weapons in her pock, and turns around to confront her stalker.
She first notices that the stalker's wearing a mask and a Woodsboro uniform.
'So much for a warm welcome, alright', she thought.
The masked student greets Wednesday with a wave of her right hand before reaching at her back, brandishing a hunting knife.
The student rushes to her, knife in hand, and then Wednesday pulls out the Karambit she's been holding in her pocket.
Sparks fly as both blades clash
face-to-face with her opponent. She saw brown eyes behind the mask.
Distracted, she was pushed against the tree behind her by her much taller opponent, still forcing the hunting knife against her face drawing blood to her cheeks.
Wednesday does not react. The only noise that surrounded them was both of their heavy breathing.
"Amber" Wednesday Acknowledge her masked assailant
A chuckle can be heard behind the mask as the person withdraw from Wednesday and pulls off her mask
Wednesday can see a grin as Amber takes off her mask
"Wendy"
