Imperial Palace, Soleanna, Mobius
“So, what do you think of it. Do I look good?” Blaze asked. She had asked Sonic to help her choose a casual outfit to wear.
“Yeah, you look great Blaze,” he replied. Something was off. Blaze prided herself on being an incredibly observant person and from her observation, Sonic wasn’t actually looking at her outfit; he was looking at her body. There seemed to be a bit of jealousy and sadness which he was trying to hide beneath his usual warm smile.
“Sonic, is something wrong?”
“No! Why are you asking?” He asked, blushing.
“Merely observing the signs of your inner emotions, including jealousy and sadness.” He turned away, trembling a little. “Sonic, what’s wrong?” She moved in front of him and placed her hand on his shoulder. They looked into each other’s eyes.
“I…I don’t know. Whenever I’m hanging out with Amy, or Rouge, or Sally, you or any other girl I… I feel jealous for no reason and like something…something is missing from me. I hate it and I just don’t know what it is.” Blaze looked away, deep in thought before turning back to him.
“Sonic,” she began with an uncertain tone,” Do you mind if I ask you a question?"
"Okay."
"If you had the choice to change your gender, would you?" Sonic looked away sharply but looked back at Blaze.
"Yes. Yes, I would." Blaze smiled and pulled her friend into a hug.
“I’m…I’m a girl,” Sonic realised, “Can I be a girl?”
”Yes, and there’s nothing wrong with that,” Blaze said to her.
