Plot ideas, Heartstopper
• Nick Nelson goes to St. Johns for rugby, so he and Charlie never share a form and meet. Charlie takes Oliver to the store for movie night snacks while Nick is grocery shopping with his mom, Sarah. Charlie gets distracted and Oliver wonders off and gets lost. Sarah finds a lost Olli and helps calm him until they find Charlie. Nick goes to get something in a different aisle than his mom and finds Charlie mid panic attack and talks him through it. They exchange numbers after they find Oliver and Sarah.
• Charlie and Nick never become friends. Elle becomes great friends with Darcy and Tara at Higgs. Tara is friends with Nick and Nick confides in her after stumbling upon male on male porn and realizing after some gay panic that he is bi. Tara, Darcy and Elle conspire to set their two friends up. (Elle is best friends with Charlie, she knows he’s gay.)
• Charlie tutors Nick in maths, they take a break to walk Nellie.
• The Spring children know they can’t have dogs but that doesn’t stop Charlie from taking Oliver to the park to watch and politely ask owners to pet their dogs. Who knew dogs and kids have the same amount of energy, Nick and Charlie sit on a park bench while the two wear each other out.
• Elle and Isaac throw a valentine’s day party for all their friends from both Higgs and Truham. Tara invites Nick, maybe he’ll meet someone else as miserable as him on valentines day? Maybe Tao will finally tell Elle how he feels, that’s what Isaac hopes anyway.
• What if Harrys party went in a slightly different order. After Charlie and Nick kiss, Nick leaves to confront harry, but Charlie doesn’t leave right away. Charlie runs into to Ben then goes to find Nick for comfort, cause fuck Ben, Charlie sees Imogen hanging onto Nick and gets the wrong idea. Ben is an asshole and plays on Charlies insecurities, why would nick want you, he has Imogen. Nick looks around for Charlie, notices Ben pulling Charlie away by his hand with a smirk and sees red. He follows but gets lost in the crowd, sees Tara and Darcy dancing and so happy, he decides that he wants to be that way with Charlie but first he needs to find him and make sure he’s okay.
• After Charlie says hi to Ben while he's walking the halls with Nick. Ben ignores Charlie but says hello to Nick. Ben then finds Nick alone and tries to figure out why hes being nice to Charlie... How could Nick possibly be friends with him?
(Before Nick pulls Ben off Charlie)
• Elle is bullied at Higgs and Darcy sticks up for her
• Tara is jealous of Darcy and Elles friendship (Darcy becomes friends with Elle before Tara does)
• Nick must take a music appreciation course at Uni, who else to help but our nerdy drummer?
• Charlie transfers to St. Johns for Track and Field right after year 9. Nick explores St. Johns after the Truham/St. Jones game and watches track practice. Who is that attractive year 10 with the dark curls
• Pastry competition! Nick and his assistant Tara compete against others across England for money and recognition! Charlie must report on a baking competition to keep in his editors’ good graces and Darcy, his loyal photographer, is along for the ride.
o What happens when the past gets brought up again?
o Or they can all be new to each other,
o maybe just Tara and Darcy are old friends/old girlfriends, and they get to know each other again and introduce Nick and Charlie.
