Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder

Summary:

"A love so big, so pure capable of breaking such a horrible binding curse.
Change someone from inside out with the simple power of Love."

Notes:

This is my first time taking part in a prompt thingie and I must admit that I liked doing it. I might do it again!
Don't be too harsh on me, please. Also, as I always say when I post anything in English... It's not my native language.
Enjoy~

Work Text:

"A love so big, so pure capable of breaking such a horrible binding curse.
Change someone from inside out with the simple power of Love."

— Did she love him for real, papa? He was a monster...

— She fell in love with who he was not with his appearance, princess.

"Beauty and the Beast" used to be his daughter's favourite fairytale. He would read it to her every single night. She never got tired of it. And he enjoyed it as well. They could debate about it for some time before her eyes started to close.
Lily loved that story.

Apparently, Claudia Stilinski did too.
She had a hardcover copy with the most beautiful cover Peter had ever seen. Reaching out his hand he touches it reverently, careful not to damage it.
The beast is not your typical one but a werewolf with red Alpha eyes and the girl has brown short hair and her pale face is blessed with some very attractive moles.
Peter finds it exhilarating. The resemblance is just too funny.

— Hey, Zombiewolf, care to share the joke with the clas-? Oh, where did you find that?

Stiles mutters that last part while getting a grab of the book he's holding. He's as careful with it as Peter was, if not more.

— This was my mom's favourite... She was kinda obsessed with it, you know? Kept telling me how cool it'd be if werewolves existed... Look at my life now —He snorts with little to no humor behind it, glancing at the man beside him— . You alright there, Peter? You look... sad.

Peter clears his throat then, trying to compose himself.

— I was just... remembering. My daughter liked this book just as much. Her name was Lily but sometimes she roleplayed as Belle. It was very silly...

— I bet she was very cute too.

The genuine smile Stiles sends his way warms Peter's heart and he cannot help but reciprocate.

— Yeah, she was.

— My parents used to dance to the Disney's song.

And that makes him laugh, which infects Stiles.
Ah, maybe he could love again...
