You're walking through the woods; a heavy fog surrounds you limiting your vision ahead.
You hear a stick snap behind you, you quickly turn to try and catch the source of the noise to no avail.
In the distance and growing closer by the second, you hear a sound.
What was once a whisper is now a loud cry.
It has arrived, just out of sight. Just out of reach. Just a few steps away.
But you have no knowing which direction it is standing.
It seems to stop in its tracks as it knows that you know that it is there. It lets out a loud shriek, possibly out of some pain or more likely to summon more of itself, you cannot be sure.
You run, not sure what it is you are running from, only knowing that it may intend to do great harm.
Due to the heavy fog, you couldn't see more than a few centimeters ahead of you. Which is why you couldn't see the ditch. That is why you tripped and fell, twisting your leg, and slowing you down.

All around you.
Just out of sight. Just out of reach.
The last thing you see, the last thing that you experience, is the sight of a monster, mangled and manged, and a feeling that everyone knows at the end.
Fear.
