Chapter Text
It was a bad time for Amelia. And for the other cops too, but she was in charge, and the eyes of the entire town were glued to her back. Everyday, journalists and politics people were calling her. For more than an entire month now, there was a serial killer on the loose. Every few day, a new victims was found, painfully killed. And the entire case was on her hand. She haven't see Calli or Kiara for a few weeks now, stuck at her job, slowly drawning away in the files. Unable to do anything. Stuck to her chair, watching and knowing than another woman will be find dead soon enough, and she did'nt have even a spec of power to stop that. She was pissed, and tired. This days, she was drinking so much coffee every waking hours that her blood will probably loose is redish colors before long. She was stuck in her thought when someone knock on her door. Finally, something new.
One of the suspect have made the mistake of passing in front of one of the last few cams still working in this damn town, and the feed was on live. They didn't really expect anything from the record, but it was still something. When she open the door, the face of the man was on the screen. It was really one of the suspect. And, in front of him, there was a girl in a blue clothes, with white hair. She was slowly backing away from the man, who was smiling at her with a cruel rictus. It was a terrible, cursed gift for Amelia. If the man was dumb enough to agress someone in front of a camera, the case will be close, for sure, but in the other hand... Will her mans be on the scene before the innocent girl find herself victim of irremediables damages? She wasn't sure. A few cars were already on the way, but it was a risky game.
The man made one more step, almost plonging the girl in his own shadow. He was ready to strike, everything was telling that clearly, when something happen that Amelia didn't fully understand at first. Something was leaking from the body of the man. Something red... His blood. His stomach was now open, and he was in pain. And the girl wasn't blue anymore. Any hint of that color has been consumed, corrupted by a crimson shade. Her behavior was also changed. The girl who was slowly backing away, trying to avoid the violence was gone. This one has a somewhat crooked posture, acting like a feral creature. Her hand was still dripping of his blood, and he was now retreating. She was walking toward him, and he was afraid. Screaming and trying to buy some time, but it was for nothing. A fist made contact with his face, throwing him on the ground. Then, the girl unleashed a constant, horrible barrage of kick. It was like destruction and fury made alive. At each sucessful hit, everybody in the room was hearing the horrible sound of something breaking. The girl wasn't human was the general consensus of the room, full of silents peoples, who were unable to look away from the screen. After a few second who where stretched to no end, the girl disapear from the camera, leaving at the scene nothing more than a bloody pulp on the ground, and Amelia knew that her guys will need to scrap him of the road to have anything to show. Now that the calm was back, the others policemans still silent with shock, she was calculating with horror how many new reports she will hade to fill from such a strange event. And her thoughts were back on the “girl”. It was clearly not a human being. She had some type of monster, strong enough to break a bone at every hit, on the loose in the city. This day was worse than what she was expecting, and she was hating every second of it.
