Demon of Vengeance vs God of Destruction

Summary:

An alternative take on the ending battle of Gamera 3, pitting Godzilla (GMK), the God of destruction against Iris, the Demons of Vengeance, and only one can immerge victorious as the ruler over the guardians.

Work Text:

Disclaimer, this NOT supposed to be a canon match up battle whatsoever and much more just a experimental, fun writing bit for me. I change up some things from Gamera 3 (obviously) with the major change of Iris being female. Reason being that my dub (german) called Iris always a she, so I’m going with that and I think it fits better. Other then that, I can only repeat, this is supposed to be a fun writing thing and not a proper match up between the characters.

The night would’ve been quiet and completely dark, if it hadn’t been for the fire that burned, the smoke that covered the sky.
Caused by the two giants, the guardian of the South and the guardian of the north: Iris and Gamera.
Two beast, engaged in an fierce fight, loaded with emotions, foremost being, hatred.

Iris felt this immense hatred in her, but she thought that this day, finally, Gamera would die. It only took her to influence one of those tiny creatures, he so hold dear to him, to betray its guardian and join forces with her, freeing her.

In some way she admired the girls hatred for Gamera, but she didn’t really care for her, once Gamera was beat she would fully absorb her.

It wasn’t too far anymore, she had pierced his stomach, absorbed his energy with her tentacles and he was bleeding badly, the battle had taken them to train station, any humans that weren’t already crushed under them had run away, except for a Ayane and others, who had sided with Gamera.

Iris didn’t care for them, they would die too.

Gamera fell to his knees, the wounds got to him, he didn’t know if he could fight on like this. He still had the spirit, he always did, but his body was giving away.
Iris had no face, but one could imagine the evil grin she must’ve had, finally able to see her arch nemesis on the ground, beaten so easily by her.
“Kill him, Iris!” Ayane yelled to her. Iris would’ve loved nothing more to do.

But as she was about to strike him another time, she heard something, no she felt it, in every fiber of her being.

There was something coming from behind her, something was closing in on her location.

It was another giant, but no other guardian then Gamera was alive, what could it be?

Iris held back, Gamera wouldn’t attack her just yet anyway, her attention was drawn to the nearby harbor, maybe like a kilometer away.
It was there, in the water, coming closer and closer. She had the sense that she felt that precense before, but no actual recollection of what it was.
She went outside the station, standing in the middle of the road, the flames burning through nearby houses around her, tinting her in an deep orange.

Iris saw those machines, with blades on top of them, rotating very fast to let the humans fly in them. They seemed to be similar ones that attacked her earlier when she had evolved.
But they weren’t giving her any attention, it was all down below in the water. The giant had stopped, it was now in the harbor, still underwater.

Then all of a sudden the machines retreated, flew away as fast as possible from there.

Ayane and the others still in the station also looked at the harbor through the large opening, then a radio in Asagis pocket went off, first she couldn’t make it out, her ears were ringing after all the rubble fell down and all the explosions, however the crunchy buzz of the radio would at some point become words. “ALL UNITS CODE BLACK I REPEAT CODE BLACK, RETREAT, RETREAT, RETREAT…” the person repeated those words with such…fear.

Then it struck her, she looked over to Gamera, who was on the ground kneeling, still bleeding, she saw his eyes. She might’ve lost her connection with him, but she still could clearly see what he felt: pure fear, he was actually trembling.

Never ever had she seen him like this, usually there was a fire shining brightly inside him to keep going on, but for the first time he felt humbled.

Iris too felt a slight fear, but she was too arrogant and instead turned to anger, how dare this creature make her feel that way. It probably was just some giant animal, maybe a Gyaos. But that wouldn’t have made much sense, they weren’t aquatic. Maybe it was just curious, just following its instinct, then why should she be worried.

After the flying machines were gone, there was an earie silence, the only thing that occasionally broke it was rubble falling down.

Then it began. The water where Iris felt the creature started to move, a giant tower of water started rising from the sea, still covering the creature.
But at some point, the bubble broke.

There wasn’t much to see at first as the water fell down its body, but then Iris could make out the shapes clearly, the body was charcoal black, but there where white spots: the claws on the feet and hands, the teeth, some sort of leave looking dorsal plates on the back, but most notably, the eyes.
They were completely white. Shining almost. Iris wasn’t sure what to think at first, then it started getting out of the water.
It was around her size, no even greater maybe, but just by a bit. It was quite massive in size; the body was very bulky. Not like Gamera, where a lot of the bulk was made up of its shell, these were muscles and flesh.

She thought to herself that she got nothing to worry about then, since she easily pierced through her arch nemesis shell, that was already as hard as rock.

But as it was out of the water, he started looking around, inspecting his environment, studying it, then gazing over at Iris, who was directly opposite of him.
The shinning white eyes pierced her.
She felt it again, this uneasiness, because whatever he was, he felt rage, inconceivable compared to what she felt until this point.

Yet he stood there calmly, only focused on the guardian of the South.
Ayane, who at this point had started a connection with Iris, could feel it all too, and that’s when he noticed her. He tilted his head slightly down, and now gazed directly into Ayane.
He saw the connection the little girl’s had. His rage grew inside. It pierced through her.

The body of the young girl started trembling uncontrollably, her nose started bleeding, she started screaming, grabbing her head, she fell down, Asagi quickly limped to her and catched her. Not even caring about the moments before.
Ayane kept screaming for another minute. She saw things, horrible things, so truly despicable and evil. More hateful then she was towards Gamera, more nightmarish then the all the dreams she had since that one eventful day.

He didn’t move, just continuously looking at Ayane and Iris

Since Iris had a connection with Ayane, she too got shown what he shared with them. She wasn’t like Ayane where she could really understand it, her way of thoughts was more based on instinct and emotions.
But she too started to feel it, the fear. But once again, her arrogance made her feel she could overcome it. He let go of the girl, but he wasn’t finished with Ayane just yet.

Asagi held Ayane in her arms, she kept stuttering and screaming. “G-G-G-G-Go-“ “Ayane...what is it, is it Gamera? What is this Monster?”

“Godzilla!”

And with that, with this one single word, all the questions were answered, and Asagi started to feel the horror coming in her mind.
Godzilla, she had heard of it, legends or the like, stories from something that happened in 1954...but the people forgot. It was time he reminded them again.
The people forgot about the God that watches over these lands, not as it’s guardian, as it’s destroyer, it’s ruler.
It belongs to him, always had. It must have been some centuries by now since he was changed, killed and revived, now bound with the spirits of many wars of the past and now fed with even more rage by the victims of these two fighting.

Ayane had read how Iris was Vengeful demon. Now she would feel for the first time would experience vengeance, her sins manifesting in hatred.

Now the demon would be put back to hell, by a God of Destruction.

Iris had her compared back, she had didn’t care for what she just saw, she had done equally as bad stuff to humans.
Whatever, she could defeat him and started getting closer to him, giving off her whining like roar.

As soon as she took only a view steps, Godzilla started to move, he tilted his head back and unleashed a a mighty roar. It was so loud, got Ayane it felt like he was right next to her. It was deep, had a sort of scrapping to it, and was signed with the hatred Iris had felt earlier.
Godzilla started charging forward, Iris was taken back how quick he moved, but she started to charge at him too.

The two monsters roared and growled, crushing everything in their path to get to each other. They came crashing together in the center, creating a Shockwave strong enough it broke all the windows in a 3 block radius.
Iris felt very taken back again, his strength, she had severely underestimated it. Gamera was one of the strongest opponents she knew, yet somehow, despite lacking the hard shell, he felt double as strong and massive compared to Gamera.

He pushed her back, further and further with ease, but none of this meant she was easy to take down. She spread out her tentacles and started stabbing him in the skin.

But she was shocked to her core, despite some of them going in, the skin was highly durable. It could take shells of tanks or rockets bombardment like it was nothing.
She managed to pierced him around his neck a bit, he roared, more angry but letting go off her, as she withdrew her tentacles again, it gave her an opportunity to gather herself.
Blood was running down his neck now, but it wasn’t fatal, it anything he seems more pissed off now.
He barred his teeth, growling.

Iris wanted to end this quickly, and tried to do the same she did to Gamera and pierce his chest. But she once again underestimated him, this time his reaction time.

As she was striking forward with her left blade, he grabbed it with his hand from above, where there wasn’t the sharp side.

Before she could counter attack he was throwing her into another building
As she crashed into it, tons of concrete and steel fell on down her, it made her head a bit dizy. While Iris was trying to stand up, all of a sudden there was a stinging pain in her neck. She howled out in pain, as she felt being pulled out of the building again.

Godzilla had sunken his might fangs into her neck, making her bleed as well. He was pushing down, crushing the hide and bones.
Iris in a state of rage and panic spread out her tentacles again and pierced him wildly and unknowingly, only to feel pain once again, when he ripped out one of the four with his arm.
Fear and panic from the pain made her lose sense of her environment, as he threw her down, making he rolls over a couple of time.

Ending up with her face towards the smokey sky, she was back in front of the train station.

She heard a human crying, it was Ayane. She tilted her head in that direction, saw her being held by that other human. Maybe, if she could just reach it, and combine with it, she could unlock even greater power and defeat Godzilla. She reached out with one of her tentacles, slowly getting closer to her.

Then there was it again, pain, this time around her stomach, it felt like the weight of a thousands mountains being put down in her.

She looked up, Godzilla stood over her, pressing down his foot. Then lifting it again, then stomping down, again, lifting again, stomping down again, with every stomp she felt getting pushed further into the ground, the organs inside her being crushed.
She was on the ground, just like her arch nemesis. She started feeling anger again, and tried to harness it.

Why did this happen to her, this random creature showed up and ruined her moment of vengeance, and now brought her down to the same level as her enemy.

She roared, this time she was also filled with rage. Once again, she pulled out her tentacles, but this time hastily with one simple goal, shooting her devastating plasma balls roughly towards his head, it must be his weak spot, it must be.

And surprisingly to Godzilla she actually managed to do so, the tentacles came from her back, too quick to grab or stomp down again.
For a moment Godzilla saw nothing but light, felt the heat on his body, roaring in pain, something that hadn’t happened in a while.
Iris got away and built some distance between her and the fearsome monster, the explosion making buildings around crumble.
The fire build itself around Godzilla and had engulfed him, Iris couldn’t see what was inside of the flames anymore.

She heard the roars, but they started to drown out, until only the flames where to hear. It felt like she had won, usually her plasma balls would obliterate any opponents body parts, he was dead likely.

Satisfied, she wanted to go back to her main goal, killing her arch nemesis. She turned towards the train station, ready to absorb Ayane and finally defeat him.
But as she was standing outside, she heard a stomp behind her, she turned around, but there was nothing, the flames had died down…there was nothing, there was no body.

Then she saw something closing in on her really quickly, she couldn’t react before she got flung around again through a street, hit heavily in the chest.
She managed to brace her fall and kneel, quickly looking up, only to roughly spot Godzilla silloute again.
But his dark skin, allowed him to remain hidden in the night and now it had started to rain again.

The flames in the area were going out slowly, as she was noticing this fact, Godzilla had gone hidden again between buildings. Now he was lurking in the dark between streets, Iris lost her temper and throw down some plasma balls in front of her, but no hit this time.

Iris was calculating, she was at a crossing, 3 ways to attack outside the front.

She focused on the sound around her, it he was very near, the stomps got louder, coming….from the right.

The ground shaking as Godzilla was charging toward her, but she prepared and swung with her arm, slightly scarring him over the chest.

Godzilla took as step back, taken a back from the hit, which gave Iris another window to strike and she stabbed him in arm with the left claw, before stabbing him in the right eye with the other.
He growled in pain, but now he got her close and started tearing through her chest with the hands.
The sharp claws carving scratches into her.
Her body filling up with Adrenalin, as she couldn’t understand how he didn’t feel more pain, despite his eye literally being pierced.

Meanwhile she felt the pain, and started to struggle a bit. The God of destruction then started to push her forward, trying to further weak the demon, but by now she had an idea of the strength he would give, and managed to resist a bit.

But her chest had received heavy blows and was now partially exposed. Godzilla then straight punched into her abdomen and grabbed something. The shock she felt mildered the pain, as he tore something out of her and then crushed it in his hand.
It was a sack she would’ve used to absorb and fully combine with Ayane.
Rage filled her, now Godzilla had taken her chance to achieve absolutely victory.

Now she didn’t even care about Gamera, her arch nemesis, what Godzilla had done to her was worse and she wanted him to pay.

She pierced further into his skull and started hacking into his body now, he growled and roared in pain as she drew her left arm out of his skull and started piercing into his chest, over and over, then with her tentacles, piercing into him and drained him of energy, she could heal her wounds, but she would need to consume a lot.
With one big, rage filled strike, she pierced Godzilla chest through his back and roared in a high pitch, feeling victorious.

Godzilla eye widened as she did it, starring directly at her. Iris had no regrets in what she did, she did everything just to gain herself advantages, become stronger and mightier.

Her faceless head stared back at him, it didn’t feel like you could imagine her having an evil grin now. She was angry, she wanted to be done with this creature and then tossed him to the ground. As he let out a painful growl, she limped back towards the train station. If she could finish and drain Gamera of energy, maybe she could get away, and heal, regardless of whether she could use Ayane or not.

But to her surprise, Gamera was back on his feet, even if barely, heavily wounded and breathing, he stood in fighting spirit against his Arch Nemesis, and so did Iris.
The moment from minutes ago started to fade as she became more enraged at Gamera, for what he did to her before all of this, how she thought to have exterminated all of his kind, having to result to use the Gyaos.
She was able to control them and had called the swarm that had been building the last view weeks since she hatched, but it was uncertain if they would arrive in time.

Gamera limped towards her, she realized how wounded he was, and the worries of needing the swarm went away.
He tried to struck her with his right hand, but she simply took a step to the side and instead chopped the hand off he growled in pain, but what she didn’t know was that he was simply stalling for time. His hand would grow back, his body was extremely resilient, but so was his spirit too.

Annoyed with him she pierced him with her tentacles and absorbed some of his energy, before kicking him into the stomache and pushed him back into the station, making him fall on his shell.
With an eager to finally strike him down she sharpened her blades, slowly putting them against each other.
Asagi felt scared for Gamera, but also Ayane, she knew what she would try to do, but Ayane had gone limp. Before she was filled with this hatred and anger towards Gamera, now she just lied in Asagis arm and watched blankly towards the lying down Gamera.

Iris didn’t care, the girl was just something to manipulate for her, a tool. Maybe that’s why the spirits were angered.

All of a sudden she felt how she got violently dragged again, sharp pains going through her back and throwing her away, through the air into another building.
She was shocked, barely balancing her fall, she started bleeding and secreting slime from her back, the pain mellowed away as adrenalin went through her body.
Godzilla, he was walking again, healed up, in the minutes it took her to deal with Gamera, he had regenerated his eye and skull, but the wound in the chest was still there…he could still live.
The angered spirit of the dead and forgotten kept him moving. But he recognized that Iris managed to hurt him, he wouldn’t underestimate her again.

But he gave her a chance, instead of facing his wrath, she could submit and go back to sleep, these where the images that he showed her and it made her more furious then ever.

Her? Submitting? Iris submits to no one! Now she wanted to really end Godzilla, nomatter what.

She unleashed her wings and with astonishing speed, speared through the air, high up into the sky, right in the light of the moon that was coming out of the clouds. Godzilla stared into the sky, he knew what she wanted to do.

No accuracy whatsoever, she unleashed a barrage of plasma balls, similar looking to Gamera, firing wildly over Kyoto, laying waste to the city, Godzilla got hit once or twice, but surprisingly, or more unsurprisingly, managed to survive and dodge. Iris wasn’t thinking straight, now she acted from pure emotions, not using her rage effectively. She stopped after calming down a bit more, the city now being fully engulfed in flames and destruction, not like she gave a damn soul about it. But Godzilla was still standing on the ground, having had even more time to heal.

He snarled, gnashing his teeth before roaring up at her. She roared back, the tone of it being much deeper this time. She combined her blades in front of her chest, letting the energy she would usually circulate in her tentacles flow through her arms into the edges, her chest starting to glow in a bright light. Godzilla knew what this meant, she tried to strike him down with a beam attack, it wasn’t unsimilar to the attack a Gyaos would use, something she had the DNA of, but way more potent and powerful

And so his back started glowing as well, in a bright shinning blue. His strongest attack was yet for Iris to discover. Now with her rage focused, she pin pointed Godzillas location in her vision and unleashed the beam from her blades, it would be strong enough to end him, she thought. As the beam out of plasma was going to hit her, he answered her, with an beam, equally, if not more powerful: the atomic breath. An attack out of pure radiation, able to burn anything in it’s path, destroying it to it’s atoms. It clashed with Iriss beam, and the two started a short struggle, as her had more reach, but he pushed her back, until they were at even length, in the middle started to build more and more energy, it gathered up more and more before finally exploding into a massive fireball, causing a massive shockwave, knocking down buildings and the the monsters.

In Iris’s field of vision there where noting but flames below, but the wave had made her lose control over flight. She feel several meters before stabilizing again. A cloud had covered the city, from afar it looked like a atomic bomb went off and Iris was in the middle of it, she couldn’t see well as the smoke and heat surrounded her.

But then a bright light started to peek through the smoke, at first she thought it was fire, but then she heard the hissing noise, the rumble, it was too late for her to realize that it was Godzilla charging up another atomic breath, she tried to dodge, but her entire right side of wings got obliterated. She fell to the ground, unable to stop or even slow down the fall, she crashed into a pile of rubble, opposite the train station.

Her back was broken, shattered, she couldn’t stand up, or heal quick enough to do so for now. All she felt was anger and despair, it all was planned out so perfectly, yet he had to appear, he wasn’t supposed to be part of this, there was no evidence he would show up, ever since she hatched, she sensed Gamera, but never him. Likely it happened whenever she killed the people in the village and fought against the army, the death of those spirits guided him to this imbalance, an being added to his well of souls within him

Godzilla was slowly approaching her, his silhouette being visible through smoke and dust, his dark body breaking the light of the fire, his white eyes piercing through the night.

Iris struggled as the God of Destruction came closer to her, trying to get up, but even as she only managed to get up by a view meters she fell down on her back again and the pain got worse, every limb aching.

As he stood before her and looked down, down on a selfish being, manipulating everything and everyone around it to gain an advantage, never caring for her actions or anyone else, betraying and slaughtering guardians and humans alike.

He had a hatred for most of these artificially created Guardians, even if in part he was too. And even he once fought 3 Guardians, questioning his rule, his methods, they were more benevolent than him. But as he too had killed them, their souls would be added to him and turning to him, still full of rage and lust for destruction, but with a purpose of harsh justice. Unleashing death not aimlessly, but to guide it onto those deserving, guardians or humans alike.

Images flew over Iris’s mind again, he gave her one last chance, to submit, to stop her selfish ways and hide, forever, to simply survive.

Iris roared back in defiance, never would she submit, not to Gamera, not Godzilla, not any other guardian out there. With her last bit of strength and rages she unleashed her remaining tentacles and pierced into Godzillas shoulder and hand and tried to suck out his energy with the one in the shoulder and then blow it into his arms.

It was foolish because he could’ve just ripped them off again, but…he didn’t he let her. For a second she thought she had a chance again, only to realize how she hadn’t gained any energy, instead she felt weaker. It wasn’t her who drained energy, it was him! She tried to shoot a plasma ball into his arm, but the explosion was very minor and barely caused a wound and he absorbed the energy of that too.

That’s how he regenerated himself.
Just as she could absorb energy from Gamera and other living beings, he had absorbed energy from Gamera arms and her attacks.
And thus he healed much, much quicker. Not like he wasn’t almost indestructible as well.

Even if he was torn down to his heart, with enough time, he would regenerate. Iris couldn’t do such a thing and thus was defeated.

As Godzilla absorbed the energy he had gathered from her, he charged up his atomic breath, slowly, so she could feel every second of it.
Instead of the shinning blue it was a bright white flame.
The flames started building more and more inside his mouth, giving him a truly demonic look. He brought his foot down on her chest, keeping her onto the ground below.
With strength leaving her she tried to wrap around his arm with a remaining tentacle, but it was just as futile as moments ago.

He unleashed his breath upon her, burning her body down to the last atoms, and the surrounding would become a engulfed by the bright light.
Asagi held Ayane closer to her, so she wouldn’t get blinded. The earth shook a little, but it was all quickly over, as the cries of Iris wailed throughout the destroyed city.

The light lessened, and Asagi looked into it, truly seeing him for the first time. It wasn’t like Gamera, where you had this sense of ease or benevolence.
No, just like what Ayane had seen before, it was pure wrath, he was not their protector, truly a destroyer of worlds.

He stood there, over the ashes of Iris, the body further falling apart and skewering to the winds.
Godzilla looked down on his arm, the tentacle that had wrapped around him, slowly giving away and falling down, as it was disconnected from its owner.

He leaned his head back and roared loudly in triumph.
The God of destruction had proven again today why he ruled over these lands and be an eternal reminder of all its sins, always lingering on to not have the past be forgotten.

Thus he turned back to the station, his gaze meeting with Asagi. Despite his eyes having no pupils, she could sense how he directly looked at her.
She swallowed as he got nearer to them. Gamera couldn’t protect them, they were now fully at the mercy of Godzilla. He entered the destroyed building, every step making it shake just a little more.

Now face to face with a personified will of wrath, Asagi wasn’t quite sure what to do.
But he wasn’t interested in the wounded Gamera or any of the other people that had witnessed him, his interest was given mainly to her.

He had shown her visions before, of war, of death of hate and anger. For most humans it would overwhelm them and leave them in an almost vegetative state.
But Ayane had survived the ordeal quite well surprisingly. After Iris was defeated, she wasn’t really in a state to resist or fight anything anymore, her only hope of revenge on Gamera was gone, for now.

Gamera himself seemed pretty torn up, more in the literal sense, his chest had a gaping hole from which green blood oozed.
Most creatures, even Monsters, wouldn’t survive this, but he was very resilient, what with his biomechanical origins.
His arm was cut off to aid Godzilla in quickly defeating Iris, it would grow back slowly, wouldn’t be the first time he lost a limb or two.

Godzilla was fine, a scar was on his chest and over his eye, but aside from that he seemed fine. But he wasn’t quite done with his work here, specifically with Ayane, he turned his gaze back to her and shared visions with her, this time not quite as harsh as those first view things, still mind breaking really but very important: knowledge over the Guardians.

He showed her his origins, how he turned from the last of his kind into the first, how in his early years he would rage and destroy everything in his path, purely out of emotions. He started to fight other monsters, some fights he struggled, but overall he would defeat them all easily, from mutated Iguanas to other mutated dinosaurs and mammals. He formed his own territory and pushed everything away that wasn’t him, that wasn’t familiar. In her mind she slowly put together what he was trying to tell her.

Then he showed her the three guardians, god of the earth, god of the sea, god of the sky: Baragon, Mothra, Ghidorah. All of them, defeated, despite fighting for justice, for what one would think was “good”, Godzilla won easily, Ayane now truly recognized his might, as she saw herself within that battle. But after it was done, after the Guardians souls had joined into one, brightly shinning mass that surrounded him. He growled but couldn’t do anything as their bodies where already destroyed. They started taking possession of his mind, looked into it, tried to understand him, saw the accumulation of other souls there were inside of him.

Thousands over thousands victims of the World War, but from any side really. Their hate had given him life once again when he was killed for the first time in 54.
They had sensed the things he had done and that his origin was deeply tied with them, so they gave him new live and let him continue on his path of destruction.

As the Guardians were seeing all of this and the souls within, it became clear they could never extinguish the rage that was within, eternally forced to keep the fire going.
But one of the three guardians decided she could at the very least, guide him and the souls within and thus combined with him to use the power he had to, in some way, still guard these lands.

He would still be a destroyer rather then a protector, but as long as no other guardian tries to take over or fails to do their part in the protection, he will step in and do what he does best.
This would also apply to humanity, he allowed them to exist, they were at his mercy unknowingly for many years, but at any time he could turn and destroy them easily, if they would cross lines.

Ayane had crossed this line. She started to tremble as she realized this, and unimaginable amount of fear came over her.
Exhausted and weakened from everything that had happened she fell to her knees and thought she would die surely, hearing the growl of Godzilla, but to her surprise, instead of killing her right then and there, he shared something else with her, a feeling she hadn’t felt for quite some time: being understood.

He understood her, why was tempted by Iris, why she wanted to kill Gamera. Their fates were not unsimilar, what had happened to them, both left alone and without their family or kind. But due to her transgressions she must be punished, but in death. Instead he tasked her with continuing the knowledge of the guardians, keeping the memories of the past alive, just like he does.

To not let humanity forget their place on this world, to know who their ruler was.

Ayane looked up, Godzilla still having his head leaned down to her. Fear still drew within her, but also respect and somewhat of a comfort. She nodded nervously and the mighty monsters raised it’s head again, shaking itself from dust and rubble, looking over to Gamera.

The guardian was still on his knees, recovering. Gamera looked at him, then leaned his head down, as a form of submission, for even he stood under Godzilla. The god of destruction was pleased with that, as Gamera had done a vital job in aiding to protect these lands and this world.

And now this was very much needed.

Both of them sensed it, the death of Iris wasn’t without it’s consequences, in the far distance they saw it coming, the swarm.

Probably hundreds if not thousands of wild and enraged Gyaos were heading their way to Japan, ready to go aimlessly after anything that moved and spreading chaos and violence in their way.
Godzilla could fight them, but with their sheer numbers, he couldn’t do it alone.

He stomped out of the building, into the direction of the oncoming swarm, looking over his shoulder, giving off a slight roar to Gamera, who felt the energy coming off Godzilla rejuvenating him, his fighting spirit burning stronger then ever.
His wound in his chest healing, the bleeding stopping, stomping to his side, ready to take anything head on.

Ayane looked out of the building, as the two monsters looked upon the horizon, seeing the first wave of Gyaos coming. They stood their ground, nothing would move these mountains anymore, they would defend their lands and wipe out the Gyaos for good this time.

Gameras mouth started to light up red with fire, while Godzillas back started to glow blue of radiation. Two monsters, one protector, one destroyer.

Guardian of the universe, God of destruction.
