Chapter Text
Ryuunosuke stared at the large helping of curry on Chiaki’s plate and the way he was chowing it down with no problem.
“Oh man, this is as good as Baachan’s curry.” Chiaki gushed. You see, the wood samurai had gone to stay with his grandmother in Singapore during his summer break where he gained a love for spicy food after eating his grandmother’s curry everyday.
The water samurai on the other hand couldn’t stand spicy food. He was already regretting letting Chiaki choose the Indonesian restaurant for their meetup.
He tentatively scooped some from his own plate and stuffed it in his mouth. The second the curry hit his tongue, the capsaicin made him spit fire.
“So hot!”
“Ah, don’t drink-”
Chiaki’s warning came too late as Ryuunosuke guzzled down his glass of hot tea in hopes of alleviating the burning sensation. But it only had the opposite effect.
“Ah!” Ryuunosuke screeched as the burning intensified.
A waiter took pity on him and offered a glass of milk.
“Sorry about him.” Chiaki grimaced as Ryuunosuke guzzled down the cool milk. “He’s a kabuki actor.” He said as though it explained his friend’s dramatic behavior.
“I see…” The waiter sweatdropped.
“And seconds please. This is so good.” Chiaki pointed at his plate.
“Of course.” The waiter hurried back to the kitchen to fulfill Chiaki’s order. At least one of them was enjoying their meal.
