“Okay, looks like it is,” Kim murmured, leaning back after reading enough comments to confirm the sound was now on. “It’s gonna be pretty relaxed today, I’m just gonna play a few songs from the last album and some covers and then answer some questions,” he said as he grabbed his guitar and slipped the strap over his head. “I’ll try to remember to check for questions between songs, but I’ll also answer any at the end in case I forget.”

“I’ll remember this time,” Kim protested lightly, leaning forward again to read the comments that kept popping up. “But yeah, you might wanna wait to ask them until I start answering,” he agreed, nodding as he read through. “Okay, I’m gonna get started.” He strummed the opening chords of the first song, leaning back in his chair as he started to sing. When he finished, he immediately went to start the second song, getting the first few notes in before remembering he was supposed to answer questions in between. “Shit,” he muttered, hopefully quietly enough that the mic didn’t pick it up, or he’d get an earful from his agent later. Mae was a great agent in that she was willing to go up against whoever she needed to–including Kim himself–to ensure Wik’s success. “Sorry, sorry, just remembered,” he directed towards the phone camera, leaning forward again to read the new stream of comments.

Kim scanned the comments, smiling at the compliments and thanking a few people and touching on the general threads he noticed. “Probably not touring anytime soon, sorry…life stuff. Working on a new album, though,” he added casually, hiding a smile when the comments amped up significantly, filled with emojis and exclamation points. “I just started it last month, but yeah, that’s in the works.” He kept reading comments, a few here and there making him smile slightly. A text popped up on the top of the screen, diverting his attention.

Kim broke into a wide grin without meaning to, staring at the text bubble until it disappeared from the top of the screen. He looked back down at the comments, remembering he was on Live when he realized they were all about his moment of distraction.

“Sorry about that, my boyfriend texted me,” he explained before immediately freezing, flashing back to the conversation he and Chay had had not even two weeks ago. He’d explained that fans could sometimes get invasive, obsessive, even aggressive, and that he didn’t want to subject Chay to that if it wasn’t necessary. Chay had seemed relieved and agreed easily that they should keep quiet on the Wik front for now. Oops. He hazarded a glance at the comments, holding onto a slight hope that his slip might have gone undetected. No such luck.

“He is hot,” Kim muttered, mentally groaning when that set off the comments again. Mae was going to have a field day with this one. A thought occurred to him. “Um. Can you guys…see my texts if they come in when I’m on Live?”

Kim snorted. Trust his fanbase to troll him regardless of circumstance. “Okay, I guess not, then,” he shook his head, trying not to show his amusement. Probably time to move on to the next song and hope people stopped asking about Chay by the next round of questions. He did just that, but when he ended the song and started reading comments, almost all of them were still about his slip of the tongue.

Kim groaned, aware that he’d just ensured infinite comments on all his social media with that exact wording. He sometimes forgot that his fans took endless delight in teasing him, especially when he would try to shut it down. Another text popped up at the top of his screen, unfortunately not from Chay this time.
