Miraculous: An Erasermic Version

Summary:

Hizashi is a normal boy starting school in a new high school. He didn't expect to be given magical powers, and he certainly didn't expect to develop a crush on his grumpy hero partner.

Chapter 1: Nezu

Chapter Text

Nezu sat at his desk and sipped his tea thoughtfully. It was good tea, imported all the way from China, but he couldn't focus on it. His kwami, Mullo, had been telling him that she felt a rise in dark forces, active kwamis that hadn't been active for centuries.

The question was, what to do about it? He himself was too old to fight (He had tried a few moves, and failed), but he had to do something.

Perhaps it was finally time to give some miraculouses away. But who to choose? He tapped his fingers on the desk impatiently. If he could only narrow it down to a specific age range it would be easier to pick people.

Adults didn't believe enough, which was a problem. Not believing enough would make them less likely to agree to help save the world. Who would believe a vaguely bug-like creature that came out of a strange box? Especially if it told them they could have superpowers.

If he chose a kid too young, they wouldn't have the skill set needed to take down villains. He also didn't want anyone to grow up too fast. While the little kids would probably be the best in the belief factor, it still wasn't a good match.

Maybe a kid from high school would make a good hero. Old enough to have at least some of the skill set necessary, but young enough to be open to the idea of kwamis and superheroes. He also had the added benefit of knowing most of the kids at the high school, because he was the principal. But who to choose?

There were lots of people who would be good enough, but also a lot of people who were unworthy. He had immediately eliminated Enji Todoroki and his friends, because while they would be strong enough, they tended to be mean, and superheroes were supposed to be people to look up to. Takeyama wasn’t a role model, and Himura didn't seem like the type to want to be a superhero. After some thought, he eliminated Yagi's group of friends, because Yagi was the type of person to throw himself into danger without thinking, Sasaki was a bit strict, and Tsukauchi also didn't seem like he would like being a superhero.

Eventually he narrowed down the options to Kayama, Aizawa, Fukukado, and the new student Yamada. He didn’t know anything about Yamada, so he couldn’t be eliminated yet. Kayama and Fukukado could think before rushing in, they were some of the nicer kids, and worked nicely together, he was close to choosing them. Aizawa worked well with some people in the class, even if he barely spoke to anyone. He also fed stray cats fairly often.

Actually, it might benefit Aizawa to be a superhero. Nezu thought to himself, taking another sip of his tea. Success would improve his self esteem, and talking to victims may improve his people skills.

If Aizawa was the holder of the cat miraculous, the holder of the ladybug miraculous would be a little harder to find. There would be few people who could cooperate with Aizawa, due to his poor people skills. Luckily the most likely to cooperate were on his list, and he would watch Yamada. He was now set on his decision to choose Aizawa, so he had better choose a ladybug miraculous holder soon.

There hadn’t been a villain attack yet so there was still a bit of time. Nezu took a long sip of tea. He hoped there was still time, anyway. If the supervillain knew how to use the miraculous, why hadn’t they attacked yet?

There had to be more time.
