Work Text:
"George, have you seen Dream at all today? Sapnap asked.
George tilted his head in thought, "No... I don't think I have."
That was the conversation that stirred worry between both Sapnap and George, both boys walking side by side together down to where Dream's office was. Sapnap put his ear up to the door, listening to the sounds that were coming from the other side.
"He's sighing.. Clicking.. Lots of clicking, probably his mouse." Sapnap whispered to George who watched with a raised eyebrow.
"Poor thing. He's probably stressing over that project he's been trying to get done, there's no deadline but he's rushing it now." George explained, shifting on his feet anxiously.
Sapnap looked between George and the door, trying to think of what they could do. "I mean.. Should we go and help him? He's obviously not taking care of himself."
George gently pushed his way closer to the door, "Of course, we should." He opened the door, immediately catching the attention of Dream who was at his computer desk.
Dream's office room was dark except for the brightness of the computer illuminating the space, Dream was curled up on his chair and multiple tabs of work flooded each of Dream's pc screens. The sight was pitiful, truly saddening to see the exhausted and pale look on his face.
"Get out! Get out!" Dream suddenly yelled, causing both Sapnap and George to flinch.
Dream stood up and then quickly rushed over to try and push the two out of his office, due to his tired state he didn't get them very far. Hands held his wrists to stop his pushing, another set of hands rubbing up and down his back. Tears flooded down his face at a rapid speed, Dream didn't even realize he was crying till the feeling of something wet flowing down his cheeks didn't stop.
"Okay, that's it, honey. Let it all out." George scooted around Dream to hold him from behind, "You're trying so hard to do your work, we can see that. But this is so unhealthy Dream, you need to take care of yourself."
Sapnap worked on cleaning Dream's face from the tears, gently caressing his face after every wipe while whispering short praises.
"Here Sapnap, take him to the living room while I save his work and grab some of his little gear. I think he'll be needing it." George removed his arms from Dream and turned to go to Dream's computer.
Sapnap beckoned Dream into his arms, holding his boy tightly while taking short steps together to the living room.
In only a few minutes they both were sitting down on the couch, Dream still tucked closely into Sapnaps side.
"You're such a good boy, you work so hard without anyone ever asking." Sapnap stroked Dream's dirty blonde hair away from his eyes, "But you need to be a good boy in taking care of yourself too. Your color is all drained, where have your pretty pink cheeks gone?"
Dream didn't have the energy to answer so he instead shrugged his shoulders, shuffling closer to Sapnap with every touch he received.
"Alright, everything is saved." George announced when he walked into the living space, taking quiet steps over to the two on the couch. "How's our little dreamboat looking?" He sat behind Dream, resting his hands on Dream's shoulders.
"He just looks exhausted, he's so pale and the little bags under his eyes are so dark. But.. What did you bring? Surely something will help him sleep for a bit." Sapnap peeked over to look at what George brought.
George nodded and held up a pacifier and a stuffed animal, "We can use the blanket on the back of the couch and just let him nap here. I don't trust that he'll stay asleep in his bed if we leave him alone." He leaned forward and pushed the soft nipple of the pacifier to Dream's lips, smiling endearingly when Dream took it in his mouth.
Sapnap adjusted Dream to lay closer to his chest to make both of them more comfortable, "Looks like he is already feeling sleepy. Look at how cute he is."
They took a moment to coo at Dream when he was wrapped in the blanket that once laid on the back of the couch, tucking the cow stuffed animal under his arm.
"Have a good time cuddling with Dada, good night darling." George leaned down to press a kiss onto Dream's head before standing and going to the kitchen to resume whatever he was doing before intervening in Dream's work.
"Now it's just us, little one, sleep well." Sapnap also leaned down and mirrored what George did, planting a kiss on the other side of Dream's head. "Both me and Papa love you very much."
Dream answered just by squeezing Sapnaps sleeve, making sure Sapnap saw the admiration in his eyes before closing them to get some much-needed rest.
