Ichika stared at the guitar collecting dust in the corner of her room. Arms crossed, legs splayed, she looked like a sulking child. But she was just deep in thought.
I know Kohane wants me to feel comfortable using the guitar again, but…
Huffing, she got up and went over to the guitar. Picking it up shot a current of electricity through her body, and she couldn’t tell if it was excitement or anxiety.
And then she turned the guitar around, sitting it back down, as if in punishment for daring to face her.
The familiar music-box cover of needLe chimed from her phone. The caller was Kohane Azusawa💗.
“Hey, can you meet up at the park soon? Mafuyu and I think we have a new song planned out and we wanna know yours and Shizuku’s opinions on it.”
”Sure thing, Kohane. I’ll be there in 10.”
She turned on her heel, looking at the irritating guitar. Why didn’t she just sell it or trash it already?
You know why.
Shaking her head as if to erase the thought, Ichika grabbed her house keys and locked the door on her way out.
At least the day was pleasant, and did well to soothe any thoughts of that shiny yellow guitar and her former friends from her mind.
