Tommy jumped from building to building. His heart was racing and his adrenaline was pumping through his veins. He observed just in case a hero tried to ambush him. Tommy whipped his head around and met eyes with the hero, Mors.
“Faunus, stop now!” Mors yelled though you could hear the shakiness in his voice.
Mors was a hero who was just a little older than Tommy and Tommy only knew that because it was public information. Tommy also knew that the hero refused to use his power under any circumstance, Mors tended to use weapons and the hero was new to the whole business. Other than Tommy didn’t know much because the hero didn’t talk much about himself like the others.
“Never, bitch!” Tommy yelled back. He turned his gaze back forward before the next jump. He almost reached the other said but miscalculated. “Fuck!”
He tried to summon all the energy in his body to grow some plants to cushion his fall. Tommy was still tired from causing chaos earlier so only small plants shot up from the ground. Tommy knew he was screwed the second he missed the jump. He landed on his feet but he felt his ankle give out. Tommy hissed in pain as he quickly got back up and continued running despite being injured.
Tommy was unsure of where Mors was and part of him didn’t want to know where the hero was.
Well, that was until he ran into a dead. Heaving, Tommy stopped and turned on his heels in hopes that he can run before Mors showed up. But unfortunately for Tommy, his luck was running out.
“Faunus, are you finally done running,” Mors spoke, his voice dripping with the little confidence the hero had. Tommy knew that Mors tended to not believe in himself so maybe Tommy could use that against him.
“Fuck you!” Tommy spoke sharply. He searched for an exit. Anything to escape Mors.
See, Mors was tall like taller than Tommy, who stood at 6 feet, tall. Mors had to be at least 6-7 inches taller plus he was very lanky which gave him an almost slenderman-like look. On top of that, he had very dark attire. Mors wore a black suit that was three-layered, a white dress shirt, a buttoned vest, and a blazer over top.
(Which in Tommy’s opinion made him look even more like slenderman)
Mors also wore slacks and boots that you could tell were designed to be run in. But that wasn’t the scariest part about him. The scariest part about him was the two-sided scythe that came apart and the mask that was split down the middle so that one side was smiling and the other is frowning and the mask also had horns coming out from each side.
Mors held his scythe up, pointing it directly at Tommy. “There is nowhere to go, Faunus.”
Tommy pulled an arrow from his quiver and pointed at Mors. “You don’t scare me, Mors.” Tommy hissed lowly. He kept his eyes trained on Mors’ mask. “Now fight me like the big man you think you are.”
Tommy charged forward with the arrow, ready to fight Mors to his death. Mors lifts up his scythe, blocking Tommy’s attack.
They fought and fought. Scythe and arrow clashed against each other until Tommy's injured ankle decided to give out in the moment.
"Shit," He cursed as he fell backward. Tommy was ready to feel Mors' scythe against his neck, ready to kill him if made any certain movement. His ankle hurt and it seared with the pain of his past mistakes. If he hadn’t been so dumb and miscalculated his jump, he wouldn’t be getting killed or arrested.
"Are you…" Mors trailed off until he forced himself to whisper the last bit. "...hurt?"
The question surprised Tommy and he blinked his eyes as he tried to figure out if that is what Mors said.
"Of course, I'm injured!" Tommy spat. "I jumped off a building with no energy to save myself, dumbass!"
Mors stared down at Tommy. Though Tommy could not see his expression, he assumed it was something of satisfaction or smugness that Tommy had injured himself.
Mors dropped down next to Tommy. "Where are you hurt?"
"Why do you care?" Tommy asked, harshly. Tommy bet Mors could feel Tommy's glare at him even though he couldn't see it.
Mors flinched at this and Tommy smirked at seeing the hero do it.
"My duty is to protect people, not hurt others in the process," Mors spoke softly. "Now, where are you hurt?"
Tommy huffed as he whispered. "My left ankle…"
Tommy watched as he saw the hero look for something in his pocket. Soon, Mors pulled out a small roll of ACE wrap. Tommy just continued to glare at Mors. Mors then pulled Tommy’s sock and shoe off.
"I'm going to wrap this around your ankle. It will help secure it, ok?" Mors whispered softly.
Despite the warning, Tommy still flinched back when Mors tried to touch his ankle.
Stupid hero and his stupid hero complex and his stupid need to help people even villains. Tommy thought, harshly as he watched Mors carefully wrap his ankle.

Ranboo knew he was making a dumb decision. He knew it the second he asked the question. Yet as he knelt next to the villain, he had no regrets. He hummed bits of songs that he could remember and would apologize every time Faunus flinched.
Stop fucking apologizing,” Faunus whispered, harshly.
Oh! Erm..sorry,” Ranboo murmured, quietly.
“I said stop!” Faunus responded, again with the same harshness from before
Ranboo took in Faunus’s look. Faunus had to be at least 6 feet tall. He wore a flower crown over his eyes. Faunus’s main suit was a Spiderman-style suit with actual vines and different shades of red flowers on it. He also wore a red hoodie over top. Faunus also wore big cartoon-like shoes that were red and black.
“Are you almost done?” Faunus asked and maybe if Ranboo could see his eyes, he would be able to see the glare. “Also staring at me. It's creepy.”
Ranboo let go of Faunus's ankle “Yeah! Sorry!” Faunus just huffed as he pulled his sock and shoe on.
“I said to stop apologizing didn’t I?” Faunus hissed out. Ranboo nodded as he slowly got up and offered his hand to Faunus.
Faunus ignored Ranboo’s outstretched hand and got up himself.
“Can you umm… not mention this to anyone?” Ranboo asked, quietly
“Sure, wouldn’t want to ruin your reputation,” Faunus huffed.
Reputation. Ah how much Ranboo wished that was the reason. He normally would care what the public thought but he felt like he did the right thing. No the reason he didn’t want anyone to know was that the Number One Hero would be on his ass for days about it and he probably wouldn’t be allowed to go on any patrols or missions.
“No, while I wish that were the reason it isn’t. The Number One Hero would on me for days about it,” Ranboo answered. Why did Ranboo feel the need to justify his reasoning to the villain?
Then Faunus did something Ranboo wasn’t expecting.
He laughed. He let out a loud laugh and smirked. A smirk that wasn’t full of smugness or maliciousness. Then the smirk left before Ranboo could laugh along with him and Faunus widened his eyes as if he was surprised at what he did as well.
Faunus let out a fake cough and frowned. “Well, that doesn’t surprise me.” Faunus paused for a second. “Anyways I should get going before we get caught since your reputation is on the line.”
Before Ranboo could get anything out, Faunus got up and disappeared into the darkness of the night.
What the frick just happened? Ranboo thought, blinking and still trying to figure out if what happened was real. He just helped a villain that was injured and he got to hear said villain laugh. Ranboo shook his head and sighed. I need some sleep. I can panic about this in the morning.
So that's exactly what he did. Ranboo went back to his apartment that he shared with Tubbo, took a shower and changed, and then off to bed he went.
